So let me take the opportunity to explain the value proposition of THE.Best for end-users.
First, the same way that the .best registry is not a competitor of .com, THE.Best is not and will never be a competitor of FB, IG, Twitter, Tik Tok, Linkedin, ...
As you may know, all those social networks have between them also a different usage. For instance, you don't post the same content on Tik Tok than on Linkedin, etc ...
What is interesting in THE.Best specific case is that the type of content that will be post by our users is reviews.
So, basically it's more close to a Trip Advisor content than Twitter for instance. (by the way look at the way TA is transforming its own strategy to become also a social network with more user interactions)
So , First difference between THE.Best and TA : THE.Best is category-generic = you can review anything you want (not just only hotels, restaurants or attractions)
But the second and major difference on THE.Best user attraction with existing social networks is that
we will REWARD users for their contributions = for their reviews!
As much as your reviews are read, clicked, liked, engaged, sponsored by brands as much money you make.
Plus, to prove again that we are not a competitor of FB, Twitter, Linkedin, ... but more a content partner with existing social medias we will help/encourage you to automatically share the reviews that you have create within THE.Best app on your existing social medias also.
So that the social media user winning process is: 1.You Review -> 2.You Share -> 3.You Earn
Lastly, the last part of the user value proposition is more "abstract" as it's only the problem of a portion of existing social media users (20%) and is related to data privacy and data responsibility.
By giving a .Best domain to host the content of each social media user (instead of just a sub-directory), we will also give back the ownership and the responsibility of the data to our users. This means that we also want to fight again fake reviews and/or bad content.
Now let me summarize it :

So of course, our target is not the same than FB. We don't expect to attract 2.5B users.
We have an internal target of 100M social media users in 5 years. (=100M domains)

How this F***** Frenchy bastard and his .Best team could be able to realize the best progression in the domain name industry over the next years.
Now look at the data - coz data at scale don't lie :
- There 3B social media users worldwide. (not counting China)
- More than 1.6B internet users have already WRITE a review (not read a review)
- Youtube is the only rewarding platform and counts now 2B Monthly Active users.
- .TK offered a domain for free to 22M users without any reward, solution or brand protection
- THE.Best will give a .Best domain to each user with a complete App+website solution, Rewards, and a full brand protection for trademarks.
So yes, it's crazy but we want to go to 100M .Best domains!
Of course, I know that the game is hard and it will be, but the difference is that we don't consider the .best registry just as a simple registry business like many TLDs, and we will not operate it that way coz
the .Best is so powerful that it is a brand on its own!
This is why, we have now already in just one year : go.best (the registry), brands.best (the brand protection), the.best (the social network).
But soon and beginning 2020 is also coming : education.best (giving a .best domains to all students), tv.best (the daily show of

The global .Best project is huge. The .best team has been working on it for 2 years already before the .best acquisition. That's why I am always laughing when people are criticizing the .best coz they just consider it as a registry.
But of course, I totally understand a bunch of negativity and septicism around us as we are not yet even DAY1.
DAY1 will be 100K .best live domains + THE.Best social network in all app stores. And this should be around march 2020.
