Hi All,
We know, one registrant has launch great discount for registering new '.best' (dot best).
My knowledge is very limited about this extension. But I have tried to register some new names. Such as:

cap.best
bat.best
ham.best
dew.best
nap.best
tan.best
yap.best
night.best
morning.best

So What are yours?
And, Anyone can help me (or us) to explain how about the future prospects of this extension (dot best) for global market?

Thank you...

Hi @Cyril.Best
One question, what do you think if I registered 'trade mark' words .best? Is it free, or prohibited by law?

Thank You

I would not recommanded to register protected trademark domains except if its your trademarks.

FYI, We just launched a program for brands to protected their trademarks : https://www.brands.best

Hope this helps.

All the .Best,

I'm not the fan of new gTLDs, but will try with those ones:
spielautomaten.best - slots in German
recycling.best - bet on this one
vita.best - healthy products is on hype today
collect.best - anything, related to collecting

Congrats ! I like : recycling.best

I think there is a lot of great names still available in german as we still not start our marketing in germany.

Let me know if we can help.

Best,

CF

Let me give you few ideas of what I would register (if I was on the domainer side) before the others :

Get the list of all 300 US big cities : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_population
+ top 100 world big cities in population (London, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Dublin, Berlin, Mexico, Rio, ...)

And then, I would register :

1. cities+hotel.best (ex : vegashotel.best, miamihotel.best, nychotel.best, ...)
2. cities+restaurant.best
3. cities+realestate.best
4. cities+lawyer.best
....

Each single .Best domain should have a minimum value of $500 on the aftermarket for an investment of $1.99 at dynadot actually : https://www.dynadot.com/domain/best.html

Plus, this is exactly what we are doing right now.

The difference is that we are selling our .Best inventory directly to big Corp and in package between 3k to 10K domains but this is exactly what we are doing in terms of sales strategy.

Your renewal fees are far too high for domainers. I see the renewals are from $89 to $99 depending on registrar for low vale reg fee value type of names. Way too much. I have one .best and have marked it non-renew.

Like I said it before already in this thread, the renewal price will get down at $15 wholesale on 5th August 2019 with all our registrars. We had a 6 months legal notice, this is why it will only happen 5th August 2019.

So, all domains that you are registering right now in promotion at $1.99 at Dynadot for instance will be renewed at $15 wholesale price next year.

Hope this helps.

Yes, they are.

If you want a discount on premiums, please let me know in private/DM a list of premium domain names that you want you buy and I will see what is the Best offer I can make for you.

If you want to register "non-premium" names at the Best price, they are all in promotion at $1.99 at dynadot until end of of March : https://www.dynadot.com/domain/best.html

All the .Best,

Thanks. So was there a law or regulation which prevented the price declining now? Why August?

So how much more than $15 wholesale do you think registrars will mark it up to?

Sure, this is the case normallyyy

But this domain name / statement ("better than best") is not normal, it is a paradoxxx
It is created to show what is better than besttt
