What are the chances of finding a gold nugget of a domain if say you watch the drop list every single day or other day for great domains, are you bound to get something good eventually ? If so id love to hear the story of your best capture (if you are willing to talk about it).

What are the odds? Id say "ok". You need to have an eye for decent domains, but you also need a little bit of luck. Ive sold domains from drop lists before, Ive had sales (on this type of domain name) in the low $x,xxx range. But, its also about patience and waiting and of course, having an eye for these types of things.

But Ive had better performance off of my expired domain names or just simple acquisitions.

From what I see grabbing some drops is that you will either have somebody interested within the first week or the average time (for a good domain) is 9-12 months without promoting the domain other then putting it on Sedo and or Afternic.

As with any domain name, it can be a "Golden Nugget" to just about anybody depending on what one is thinking.

I personally would rather spend $8 and take a chance, then spending $x,xxx or $xx,xxx and take the chance at a sale
