I think .tech is very nice, is suitable for technology companies,easy to remember than .technolgoy, so i have registered the following domain name.

This is one of the very few nGTLD I actually like - it's pretty generic and relatively short (compared to .online for example)
It would be good alternative to .co or .io for startups.
But - registrations are too cheap ($1-5) which means all good names are grabbed and hoarded by domainers and at the same time renewals are way too high - more than $40 at most registrars e.g. $70 at Godaddy.
It would be better to keep both registration and renewals at around $15-20.

I think it really depends on how popular the gTLD becomes. They probably wouldn't waste time going after every new gTLD that comes out literally every few weeks. Microsoft.io will definitely get attention, while Microsoft.bible may be able to slip under the radar.

Exactly! If it becomes popular or makes any money then your butt is in some serious trouble financially.

Stay away from TM and brand domains!!!

I wonder about the LLL market and TM issues.

Great article. It appears that short 3 letter acronyms are popular. I'd imagine with time one word domains will become more popular as well. So those of you with nice generic one word .tech domains may want to hold onto them for at least another a year or so.

I'm hoping that the same trend with .io where doc.io and other short word domains went for really high on flippa.
