Hi, I invested in January on 48 very generic .space domains, such as england.space, miami.space, planes.space... I really liked the sound of this nGTLD and the meaning of it. Space evokes freedom, comfort... What do you think about the potentiality of .space ?

How much is the renewal fee for .space domains?
Currently between 7.88 - 11.99 to renew .space domains with popular registers, could be worth holding on to some.

I don't like longer extensions. They uglify a domain imo. I doubt more than a few .space domains will be profitable to onsell in the short - medium term. Maybe if hold on until humans colonize the universe? :P

I feel mixed about ngtlds. I like some but a lot just make no sense.

I had some great .XYZ geo domains, put them on Flippa and got waaaay less then I should have. :(

I'll stick with .com and .org but you know what you are doing @ErwanKina.

Just have two solarflares.space and solarflare.space. I'm probably going to kick these to the curb.

A whopping 2 reported sales, $100 and $1000. It's been available for over a year, about 14 months. What more do you need to know.

That's an average of $550 per domain.
That's pretty good! ;)

I'm not sure why there are some gtld with zero sales listed. Either the owners are holding out for high prices, the registry is holding them for high prices, or no one wants them.
Any of these are not good for the gtlds.

.space doesn't have that many keywords that work with it. Better gtlds are out there for it to compete with too.

.space is one of those gtlds where most of the good names are reserved as premium. I mean ALOT of premiums, its frustrating.

Hey buddy, don't be frustrated and stressed! .space is not that great TLD either. There are thousand plus other nGTLDs around that you can pick good domains.
Cheers :)

I'm planning on registering:
lostinthe.Space (Lost in The Space) and it's available for $1.99 at godaddy.
I honestly think it is still very expensive for $1.99 ;) I'll wait till it is offered for 1 penny.

Do you have parking.space?

I can mostly just see .space for hobby or science sites, found this rather cool site stuffin.space/ :)

Might also work for companies that are involved in space exploration like audacy.space/ or rental space. There are probably a handful of .space domains that can make sense for end users and are worth registering, but they are likely all taken already and just general or short .space domains aren't really worth buying.

Space is a pretty good keyword IMO. The entire internet, all of our devices and all of our digital content requires space.

Unfortunately, a year ago I was just getting into domaining and I made a lot of stupid buys, ALOT! .Space was one I bought alot of, and because most of the good ones were premium, I settled for alot of low quality names. I have let almost all of them go.
The only ones I am keeping are
FleaMarket.Space, Swapmeet.Space, Peddlers.Space, and Sublease.Space

This first year in domaining, the main thing I've learned is to be patient and not to settle for mediocre or low quality names just because you can get them. Seems like common sense now.

If you are in love with .space gtld, please go for it. You never know it would next dotcom and sought after extension. BUT I'm sticking with dotcoms only as my doctor has PRESCRIBED ME ONLY DOTCOM DOMAINS. I'VE AN ALLERGIC REACTION WITN nGTLDs :)

I'm not really going to, like I said, pretty much all of the good ones are premium. I don't believe any of the nGTLDs is going to replace .com or be the next big extension. It will be all of the extensions combined, each one with maybe a few to a few hundred relevant names that make it a quality name.

My goal is to get as many of those names as I can, and it is not easy with the premium reservations. Even getting the good ones on the first day of general availability is nearly impossible. I've found it much better to wait a year for the drops, I've gotten far more good names that way. I seem to settle for mediocrity when I go for opening day registrations. Better to be patient and wait for the impatient investors to let their quality name drop because it didn't bring in a huge offer within the first year or two. I still believe in these nGTLDs but it will take more time, probably many years.

Don't feel bad about it because everybody does that, EVERYBODY!

As long as you learn from your mistakes, which it sounds like you have.
