Biased.... costs them nothing to sell IDNs. Its a no brainer. Although, I do think there is a future with IDNs.

Never stopped people registering gibberish.

We have 4000 IDN. I only recognise a very small proportion of them.

To feel you need to be able to read the characters yourself is to miss the point. It is only important that others can and do input them naturally.

Only took me 3 months hard work and a few wasted dollars to find out how they work and the huge potential waiting to be/slowly being unleashed, now my portfolio is 70% ascii 30% idn and by the middle of next year I reckon around 50/50.

Undoubtedly a much bigger net real estate landrush ,and potentially more lucrative, than any of the new extensions already here and being launched.

There are quite a few places where the knowledge that has been gathered by the few is available to all- without so much of the pain. ;)

My native language (Latvian) uses diacritical marks, and several years ago IDN with .extension .LV was introduced, though almost nobody ever uses such domains.
It is still a long way until people start using IDNs, most IDNs therefore a very long term investments, but I also believe that someday they will pay off...

Non adult - and I have quite a few getting good traffic although only a small portion currently is from type in (improving) - mainly search engine placement.

Anyway, I think I have said what my opinion is regarding idn, an essential part of any domainers portfolio - it's up to individuals to either go there or not. ;)

I have few Chinese names too. Would it be wise to develop them ? But then how would I market the name.

I'm too old to learn all the intricacies of this idn stuff. So many countries/languages. None of which I read or speak. How do you communicate with potential buyers. How do you develop/park your domains. It's an abyss as far as I'm concerned. This whole idn thing is going to pass me by. Good news for you.. less competition ;) It would put the fear of God into me to own so many idn names. How many have you sold, and for what prices?

I think that they have great potential but I also think that you need to know what you are doing. I'm sure that many people here know what they are doing and I'm sure that I don't. I don't have time to learn but good luck to those who do.
