Weird WHOIS Glitch

DomainTools says that France.info expires in 2006. I checked another WHOIS site, but then realised they were using DT's API. Typing the domain produces nothing, not a parking page or anything, just an error. Sadly, my registrar says the name is taken. Would be a .info I'd be happy to have, if it really were available.

This is a domain name reserved by iana.org, so whois info is irrelevant.

if I have doubt, I check two sites - the whois at the registrar's website, and the whois at the TLD registry.

At 2010, I buyed Dorota.net from the 4 registrars...There was a bug there, I regged, than I checked others and regged, and others...) I paid money for them, only 2 reversed.

There are a number of sunrise .info domains that were repossessed after it turned out that invalid Tms were used to support the applications. The expiry dates are past but the names are simply frozen at registry level.

Normally country names are reserved under .info but not all of them. I know for a fact as I sold two

eg games.info is reserved by afilias.

2 or 3 years ago Afilias were taking expressions of interest for those frozen domains but since then nothing...
