Being a golfer myself i had to laugh at this story, put do feel sorry for the members at that particular club, they watered the fairways with weedkiller instead of water, article below

The cost of repairing the scorched fairways will mostly be covered by the club's insurance.

The club, based in High Beech Lane, declined to comment further.

Whew thats really rough. The greens from the pictures looked intact so atleast the golfer's putting games will be excellent by next spring. It could have been the greens too, or browns after they did it.
