.tv WATCHFREE.TV, NIGHTLY.TV, INVESTORCHANNEL.TV, & NEWSBRIEF.TV

Hello fellow .TV domainers,

I have been lurking around the .TV forum for quite sometime, rarely have commented until now. I guess my ? would be how good are these names i have picked up and what ideas would you have for development. I have a couple of ideas for a couple of them, but now after hindsight i realize that WatchFree.TV & Nightly.TV may be too generic. Investorchannel and Newsbrief more niche specific. so what would the value and development potential be on these names if some of you .TV vets were holding them in your portfolio, thats if you would even bother with regging them.

I would say InvestorChannel is the name to spend you're time on IMO. A lot of investing keywords have good bids as far as ppc so you know you have an area that has a lot of interest. There is plenty of content around, put together a plan and decide what you want the site to be like.

WATCHFREE.tv is not a bad name but there are plenty of sites out there like that and I don't know how they make any money. You could PM JOHNTV a member here who has a great Free tv site in www.see.tv


I have never been a fan of news sites for one reason, PEOPLE are going to go to CNN FOX BBC MSNBC DISNEY(CAPITAL CITIES) NBC CBS they are not going to go to some small niche site for overall news. IF you had a small niche where you had news on that and no one else did because it was too small a market for them then sure you could try it but not for overall news. IMO

Here is another thing everyone likes to just say when someone posts a name oh great name get some content and put up a site. NO First do some research on the industry or genre, Learn about you're competition, answer yourself honestly CAN I COMPETE?, Formulate a sensible way you will monetize the site, who are potential sponsors? who would my customers be? Is the market big enough? There is a difference between something you and a handful of other people like and a sustainable niche.
