Was a domain purchased on GoDaddy Auctions or not?

Hello,

For an expiring domain that was recently in Godaddy auctions where the time period has passed already for both the auction and closeout phase but not late enough to be dropped, how can I tell if the domain was 1. purchased, or 2. passed through the closeout phase without being purchased?

Anyone know?

If it was not purchased, it'll go into Redemption Period after a few days.

Not all closeout leads to redemptn. The last gd closeout i purchased has a 7year extension before i bought it.

1. The approach i used is to check the current expiration date through whois. If the date gets extended by a year, then i know it has been sold.

Very confused by this post

1. From what I see it doesn't appear that the creation date and expiration date changes when an expiring domain is bought on Godaddy auctions

Godaddy expired auctions also feature names from other registrars. It can take a few days to months for it to land in redemption. What happens when you visit the domain?
