Warning: Never Use BitPay for Receiving Payments!

A couple of years ago, I linked BitPay to my DAN account for domain-sale payouts. Since mid-2024, I haven’t used BitPay at all, and I still had a few hundred USD worth of LTC sitting in the account.

Two days ago, after selling a domain on ATOM, I tried to receive the payout via BitPay — only to find that the website login no longer worked, even though the mobile app could still log in. I contacted support, and they suspended my account without giving any reason whatsoever.

So here’s my warning to everyone: do NOT use BitPay. This company acts like a complete thug.

I’ve never use BitPay in the past, but It's crucial to be cautious when using third-party payment processors, especially with issues like account freezes or lack of customer support. I also don't have much experience with crypto and crypto transactions. But it seems that only Bitcoin is famous.

I am very sympathetic to what happened to you. Hope it gets resolved without too many problems.

When I realized I couldn't log in even after resetting my password, I quickly transferred all my LTC through the app, and it's already in my account. I was really lucky. Otherwise, they might have confiscated my LTC for some unknown reason.

I see. Because I live in Japan, which is a region where the service is prohibited. They didn't have this policy two years ago. But if they had explained their reasons in the email, I would have understood; a ban without a reason is unacceptable.
