WARNING and question about Google keyword tool

First the warning:
The google keyword tool gave me a poorly designed captcha. I believe that I got it right, but by looking at it I could easily see how the people they used to create the "correct" answer would have answered them differently. I got two of these in a row. I should have skipped both. Instead, I answered both and in a way that was "wrong". Big mistake, I am now unalbe to access the tool due to "unusual traffic", for example "automated queries".

So, if you get a bad captcha that has too much room for error in interpretation, skip it.

How do I get around this, other than change my IP address? Will the block eventually go away?
Thanks!

Edit: just for clarification, I have never, not even once, used any kind of a script or automated tool with the keyword tool. I believe due to the timing that this is related to me answering the two capthas in a row wrong and nothing else. But only two wrong seems a bit strict, what else could be going on?

Yes it will eventually go away. Happened to me once when I was doing stuff on multiple devices.

I think I was already logged in on my laptop, and made a couple of typos trying to log in on my phone.

I think the easiest way to do it would be to simply login to your gmail account and then goto the tool (this way you'll still be logged into Google)

That is why you never attempt the captcha and just make sure you are logged into your gmail account, or click or the "sign in" tab in the far right corner and sign in or create an account.
