w3c is very famous.

My opinion: no one want to use it to develop their brand or business name.

w3c is the consortium who set the standards for development on the web.

They have copyrights, I'm unsure on the restrictions here.

For that reason, anyone who would think about developing the domain will know of the w3c and shouldn't develop it.

I think it could be more trouble than it's worth.
