Vodka.com & Two Biggest .Org Sales of 2006 Assure Merry Christmas for Domain Market

The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com and what a week it was! We saw the $3 million dollar sale of Vodka.com (the second biggest sale of 2006) and will give you some inside info on that deal that you haven't heard before. We also saw the biggest .org sale since we started keeping records in 2003 and a second six-figure .org sale that ranks #2 among this year's sales in that extension. Germany's .de headed our new Country Code chart and racked up six entries overall on that list. Look at all of those BuyDomains sales! I generally think their prices are too high, but a lot of those generic sales were relatively cheap.

I can't believe AddictedGames.com went for that much... Obviously a valuable name, but I wouldn't have expected anyone to pay $135,000 for it.

I have watched the Dn Journal domain sales report now for over 12 months and I am lost some times how much domains sell for..

I have many good domains I think would get good $$$ more or the same as listed in most sales in the DNJ but I guess you need to find the buyer or be in the right place at the right time.

Or is it you need to contact people via email and do cold calling...

I know how to do this but never done it before...

Who sells their domains name via doing a google search for the keywords in their domain names and contacts the top 10 listings.. or the people using adwords for the keywords...

Anyone got any comments.

cannot image this domain worth so much... is that possible someone make a fake buy-sell transaction and news? I am not refer to this name, just wonder how DNJ make sure the "truthiness"..

I see sedo seems to be putting in an effort to promote alot of Buydomains lower priced names.
