Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Instead of thinking about what you would or should have done years ago.. Think ahead 2-5 years from now. Think about what domains you should have bought way back in early 2016. Now, go get em!

What is the idea behind that name?
VRD may mean: Virtual retinal display, technology to display directly onto the retina & AD means Advertisement

it's same as vrmom except for dad ;)

so could be anything from tutorials for dads.. how to deal with kids.. newborns etc.. educational.. many many options

there is really no need for anyone to think this is anything other than exactly what keyword says... just cause there are enough options for that keyword.. great short domain imo! should be worth a lot in future!

I own:

VRparents.com
VRmother.com
momVR.com

cheers

yep. I can see what you mean

but.. VR may well become the only way for those without kids in real life to become dads.. mothers.. parents.. ;)

why not right? heh

I notice a lot of you in vr have the dot com already so you must have been prepared cause ive found very few if any decent ones in dot com to hand reg that's why ive at least tried to grab some in other tlds just to be in the game.

do any of you reg any other tlds in vr other than dot com cause I don't see a lot of posts in this thread other than coms?

just curious if im wasting $ regging other tlds in vr or not ?

I've got .ca's. Only the best keys though (poker, casino, sex, medical, mobile, shop, etc.). If you can still find things like that in other cctlds/gtlds, it's not the worst idea. Make sure the extension is like top5/top10 of all extensions though.

Now, that being said, I know for a fact that theres still a lot of brandables left in .com. Maybe not the easiest sells, but if you just want in, they'll work. Plenty of deals under $x,xxx too. There's at least 5 threads, right here on NamePros, with big long lists of VR names to choose from!

Instead of buying 20 other tld's, getting 2-3 good .com's is a much safer bet.

I wish you luck! :)

I hear ya for sure but I figured a few top keywords like golf, sex, etc in a new tld like top, xyz, club, online, a few in tech (pricey rereg tho) may attract a few buyers more than some obscure dot com.

im waiting till a dot com sale is on but could be awhile.

appreciate the info!

I think they underestimate the amount of hardware to be sold. China alone will probably sell that many by the end of next year, if not sooner.
