Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
GoDaddyGoDaddy
vrcustomize.com
virtualcustomize.com
VRCostumize was also on my list, but didn't wanted to invest in it, anyway I find it a decent domain.

The way I see it is and I kind of touched upon this before.

There has been hell of a lot of marketing in the last 30 years for VIRTUAL.
Every company that has VIRTUAL in its name has also been indirectly promoting the theme VIRTUAL.
VIRTUAL can mean VR or VIRTUAL can also refer to anything on the internet that is digital.
VIRTUAL is 7 characters long.
Most good VIRTUAL names have been taken years ago.

There has been very little marketing by companies so therefore VR doesn't resonate with many people yet.
All we need is a few companies to promote their VR+Keyword products and they will be indirectly marketing the VR theme.
VR means VR.
VR is 2 characters and generally speaking, shorter is usually better for domain names.
VR names still exist because its a new theme based new (re-invented) technology.

I think in some instances VIRTUAL might be better than VR and in others, VR might be better than VIRTUAL but when it comes down to it, I think the branding and marketing of each company will play the most important part as to what people remember.

So I'm curious how many here have "virtual" names in addition to their VR and "Virtual Reality" names, and if they've had any renewed interest in those domains in light of all the recent VR hype?

I'm holding just a few "virtual" names, as I think VR will become the preferred terminology... (Also, all the great "virtual" names were long-gone when I woke up to VRs potential! :-,)

Dot com:

virtual accessories
virtual erp
virtual porn video

I also jumped on a few of the shorter "virt' domains, just 'cause I liked the way they sounded...

Virties (I like this one - thinking like the Emmys or Oscars...)
Virtcam
Virters

,
Sounds like catchy start-ups to me...

FATE VR .com
SAW VR .com

Got both for £1 each.

No one liked my SAW VR reg?

VR will been seen with our eyes. VR Headsets will be placed on our eyes.

The past tense of SEE is SAW ergo SAW VR.com

Common, there must be one of you who likes my 3 letter word + VR dot com relating to VR itself?
