Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Thanks for your perspective. I agree to an extent. I did notice that CameraRig/s dot com are still for sale, but I've also considered that VR provides a particular opportunity that didn't exist in the conventional camera rig industry, because most consumers did not needed a "rig" until VR came out. Many of companies manufacturing VR Rigs weren\t in business before VR and most only provide rigs for VR, so I think the prospect for a sale is a bit more positive than your assessment.
My concern is more about the future of VR Rigs with the rise of the VR Camera. @VRdommy you've invested in VR camera related names. What's your take on this?
I've missed out on many waves of camera related domains over the years. Never played them.
Always sorry I did not play them after the fact.
I was not going to miss out on this one in VR/360. I did play it deep and broad.

I am big subscriber of history and trends. (how better to predict what will happen)
The history is that cam/camera is a terrific high-end keyword. http://dnpric.es/?q=cam
Not just with investors, but actual end-use.
The trend has been in small, high quality, rugid portable sport/action cameras.
Apply that to the coming VR tech with cameras, and you are probably looking at the best names.

As always, a new generic keyword to describe them can develop with the consumer anytime.
Outside of that, patients is required for the market to flourish with demand for the VALUE.
Don't see real moves in the market for them to start till next year but it may take 3-4 years before we see great value for the best of them.
3DvrCameras 3DvrCams
VRsportcams VRactioncams VRsmartcams VRproCams VRcamTube VRcamsLive
and about 25 others, many variants with 360.
I don't need or want any more. But there are still some good ones out there.

@Winfluence Sorry, I don't understand.
If it is VR Camera "Rigging" you are really referring to,
I see no history for it in names and and no trends to change that.
Rigging is just tripods and mounts like a selfie stick or a monopole /accessories..
A rig is termed sometimes as a camera with rigging.
But I'm sure there will be a couple of hits with it somewhere, sometime.
GoPro had many unique rigs for their cams. It's what made them quite popular.
Again, Sorry I missed the point.

pretty good evaluation!

#1 covers all others.. and says it best imo... people who truly know what they are talking about, do not call VR a revolutionary once in bluemoon tech for nothing. pay attention to what they say.. if you don't wanna get lost in the varying views and opinions of this forums members... or some little article's author here and there..

happy VRing!

The BRAIN SUCKERS have arrived... LOL ...
Eye tracking to read your thoughts ? Probably right up facebook/google's alley.

https://www.engadget.com/2016/07/22/eyefluence/

Nobody is going to be content till they can read your mind and predict what you are about to do.
That's the 'minority report'.

Correct!
El inglés no es mi idioma nativo y los traductores a veces me ponen en aprietos.
Sorry.

Seems like the droplists of good VR related domains have gotten very thin. Good sign.

I think it's his English. I think he implied that the reserve price was not met.

Unless I'm mistaken, can anyone confirm?

Just a few things interesting to note about competition in mobile vr.

I did wonder how long it would be before Samsung and Oculus parted ways. Samsung had the advantage and Oculus would have to find a top tech manufacturer or facebook would have to buy one for them,in the mobile space anyway.(just like google did)
It does remain to be seen if the Odyssey is in that partnership.
But I suspect HTC will have a good mobile play before the year is up OR by spring when the new CPU/GPU's are plentiful. Outside of Apple & HTC, Sony is the only other player that can provide the presence needed to make a hit with a VR mobile product. Considering the split of HTC, it seems like a likely target for facebook.
.........
A interesting look at China's Internet Cafe's and VR
https://uploadvr.com/inside-look-china-vr-cafe/
One would have thought for the early start we had in the states with internet cafe's, we would be polluted with them by now. I think the VR content will be the key to change that. VRcafe's ?
Probably not a good domain name play but a THING-2-B never-the-less.

Sorry.

The OP confirmed it was a typo - he said

English is not my native language translators and sometimes I get in trouble.

GoVR will sell for over $25K though, it will just take time.

Thanks for the share but does it have any "game" or "gaming" in the domain name? Was it an inbound or outbound sale?
