Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Just read this about the Vive over there at TheVerge:
http://www.theverge.com/2016/2/23/11099634/htc-vive-vr-headset-mwc-2016

Seems it will really become the favorite entry drug into VR, which makes me happy in a way for HTC as a longtime HTC customer starting from their 2007/2008 smartphones..

just not too sure about the longterm prospects once Oculus and others catch up..

Virtual Reality for(4) Film/Farming/Football/Fitness/Fashion?

I’ve got a few of these with the number 4, but this is the first one I bought with VR at the front.

Beware.....Jokes about people using VR are on the way (especially in the area of adult videos and games). I don't believe that it will derail VR's future though. I'm hoping that people will embrace the goofiness, instead of making fun of it to the point that it becomes some sort of taboo to do VR in public.

It's speculative, but one day in the future people won't need clunky devices to access internet, VR, communication in general, etc. Humans by nature do not like to be tied down or retrained and limited.

As technology evolves, the simple headsets, and other tech items, of today will most likely give way to small computer chip like items that adhere to the body to give all the access one needs for internet, VR, and more.

yes I agree with you that down the road it won't even be about vr gear and glasses on everyone's face. but invisible implants doing everything you want for you..

but it'll all come in phases. so I was just referring to one of many.. where it is possible those who do not wear vr gear on their face will be laughed at.

I know. I was merely adding to it. We're all on the same side, in terms of VR. :$:

yes. all good I was merely adding to what you added.

bottom line loike u said is that it's all speculation. sadly, also our vr domain investments! :)
but vr domains are part of domaining... and since all domaining is speculation.. well.. I guess we can do the math hehe
cheers

By the time we start doing recreational implants (2030??) I doubt that they'll be calling it "VR" anymore...and the way we be doing so called "websites" may no longer exist.....

I could be wrong about 2030, but I just don't see that happening anytime in the next decade or two.....

Implants were in the media quite a bit back in 2013. Not sure what has transpired since. Long before implants will be stickers/chips of some sort, that stick to your arm, temple, or wherever; giving access to the net, and more. Likely to eventually replace smartwatches first. This too was in the media over the past couple of years. Might be more holo or IoT tech related, rather than VR.
