Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

You have a point and it has been discussed in this thread a few times. But there is no denying there is a wave coming, question is, do you want to be riding it or staring at it from the beach?

VR won't be huge in April, but in a year or two, it will take the world by storm.

I am in VR and did not intend to put too much skepticism, just injecting a bit of realism.

I have about 10 LLLL.coms with VR, 1 country VR, and the above suiting stuff I posted I did today. I might do few more, but don't believe it is good idea to just take all dictionary words add VR in front and end and register all.

Nice, I only got 1 LLLL .com with VR in it. This was a small regret of mine, I really wanted more.

As to adding VR to all dictionary words, you are probably right, it isn't a great idea. However if VR does in fact grow to the scale that most think-tanks are talking about in 5 years. We'll see a huge number of VR domains sell, even the crapper ones will make more than reg fee. Anyway just my opinion, lets see how this year plays out.

P.S. Anyone dropping any VR domains, PM me and you might get your regfee back if I want the domain(s).

This VR sale I contacted a few new startups on kickstarter - direct link into afternic

Do you have any dialogue with them, or do they just buy it outright from Afternic?

First contact via email

I'm closing using skype/facetime easier to chat about the domain.

I'm closing using skype/facetime easier to chat about the domain.

It's a pretty good idea to use Skype to have a casual conversation about domains; especially VR domains. I think VR startups are filled with more people at are predisposed to using Skype than formal eMail.

Keeping a conversation casual is a great way to convert sales.

I'm actually going to give it a shot and add Skype as a contact option to all of my DN landing pages - it's one thing I haven't tried and that I don't see people doing en masse.

FX is sharing valuable tips.

I will try to use his knowledge the second half of this year when most VR headsets are launched. Best month for me will be December to get a end user domain sale if the affiliate sales are not good enough to cover my expenses.

Cool. And any examples of those choosing VR+Premium Keyword or Premium Keyword+VR? You just proved my point above that they will go for anything trashy but won't pay up peanuts for decent name.

Sold StarVR to a startup for a decent chunk...

Assume that was humor... (But if not, go to StarVR.com...;))

Yes, was kidding. StarVR would be probably one of top 100 possible for the business niche.

Added bonus: it has both AR and VR )

You should have asked for stock )

Indeed, stock would have been nice! (But, alas, I was "blind" to Buyers true identity... 20/20 hindsight and all that... But on the bright side, it was a hand-reg that pays for all my VR renewals for a few years! ;))

ToonVR.com
460 USD

This would be a great domain for Digital VR, based in Newcastle, England. Or even better, Newcastle United FC for VR football experiences.at St. James' Park.

Happy to supply some inspiration!

I also like the "review" names, as the huge variation in the variety/nature/quality of VR experiences is going to lend itself to the review process - I'm thinking the sensory "intensity" of some content is going to require review prior to making viewing choices... (Think "horror"... pregnant women and weak-hearts shouldn't be viewing - like riding a roller-coaster!), before you even get to the substantive quality of the content...

I have...

VirtualRealityReview
ARreview

Starbreeze, the company behind StarVR is a well established company though. Great sale none the less!

Could the term "holodome" work for VR or it is something completely different ?
eg. http://www.holovis.com/

The example you gave seems to be an all in one type of company (Immersive/AR/VR). They could've chosen anything for their name and, it wouldn't really matter.

"Holovis" wouldn't really work for VR alone. And, if they chose to go in that direction, it would've been in really bad taste (IMHO).

I think the same can be said for "Holodome".

Registrant Country: CN

From now on we will see many times this data when we inquire of the whois of a domain for which we were interested.

Sauron has put his eye on the Shire and sent to Nazgûl to the One Ring.

"Code In VR" - seems like the new way for developing (coding) is going to be in a vr experience. How cool is that?
