Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Anyone figured a angle on the Real Estate market VR Viewing?

It's not likely to generate any need for names that I can see as they will use existing domain for it. I can't see any need for it outside of those selling software packages/hardware to do it. Bunch of agents out there.

Any thoughts?

You are right man, dont think they will look much for new vr names for this they will just put a signature on their site that writes "now vr view available" and thats all... But i had VRrealestates and VRealestates long ago just in case someone wants such a name :/

Perhaps your names would be better served as hosted.
Showing off those agents who use the tech.?

Probably most of our names will be used in that way. Thats why we should seek for lower offers like xxx than everybody talks in this thread like xxx, xxx. It is still a great roi for all of us. I think most participants of this forum should see there are just a few lottery winners and millons of losers...

I have 360househunt...

A segment that might be interested in a nice domain are photographers/videographers that actually do the filming for the real estate agency. I did the same thing for wedding photographers. I have enough domains now so I am not getting in to this segment and I am not even sure what these people are called, "house photographjers"?

Thanks for the replies,
So it is missing - The need as I thought.

Thought of starting a service for local agents. I do Aerial Photos for agents on large estates. When I can get a good 360cam, I may start a service myself and sell-out when it catchs on. Agents can even do it themselves when they understand how. Most are skeptical for any of this stuff. But if you get a lot of calls from out-of-state, it's promising.

Athletic is not a strong keyword by history.
Everything has some value. You just have to find out who that is.
Try to do that before you buy. One never knows.

You are tracking right...
I would try VR + sports for a better keyword. Not many left.
I'm sure you have been reading the news on it's future use.
The more natural it's use in speech or search the better.
(except for branding)

For example:
In this space I have
vrSportscast
vr360sports
however, I don't really see the need for them as a domain.
It's one of those "what was I thinking" moments.
Sounds good but who would use it/need it.
Of course there is something to be said about the internet being the only medium to deliver streaming vr but the existing players have sites and no need for additional names.
I limited my buys in this area though to just a few.
Dabbling a few in many areas never hurts.

I like it as i own VrSweat but they have a issue with the headsets getting fogged up when exercising so until that's resolved it might be a tough sale if that is your target.

I seen a prototype like this from Israel last year.
Yeah vr would just take it to a whole other world . I found it on my fb feed and only one person out of 100+ comments said make this with an Oculus rift and you have something. It goes to show how the public is aware of the technology.

I think you are in for a sweet surprise when you see all the developments folks release after this gets started. I have seen some of it.
Some is just to risky to insure liability. I'm sure you have seen the oculus disclaimer shipped with the latest dev kits..

I have a 30 dollar headset ..it works quite well. I don't know why you would want to hold a headset im guessing the cheaper the better for a buy in.

check this

One of the neatest early doable things I have seen coming for the masses is a thing kinda like valve's lighthouse that lets you turn that old warehouse into a new space age combat shoot'm'up. High tech lasertag ha ha.
Could help those vacant spots in the malls.?

I think like everything else we will adopt it then 5,10,15 years later claim it has a negative affect. Much like prescription drugs push it out and we will deal with the effects later. I don't know the scientifics as im not a neurologist but we tend to indulge then point fingers later.I do know that it's just long enough for me to profit.

There is also another side of the spectrum where it aids in rehabilitation of stroke victims and alcoholics plus many more to come im sure.

Here is a list of available to register VR domain names.

- VRctic.com (sounds like arctic)
- VRUncut.com (Uncut = raw, uncensored)
- VRScroll.com
- VRCTRL.com (VRControls.com sold for $400)
- VRBakery.com (If Culinary Arts enters VR, this will be great)
- VRCartel.com (Cartel can be a potential VR marketplace. Ex. BigCartel)
- VRVerge.com
- VRoster.com (Roster is another word for a list)
- VRInsert.com (accessories or mods)
- VRAtomic.com
- VirtualUnlock.com (potential VR game cheats site)
- VirtualClan.com (in video games, clan is a common word for an established group)
- VirtualRealityLeak(s).com

PM me if you register any and if you want to leave me a tip. I have other ones that I plan on registering in the near future, but these are the ones that I wouldn't mind leaking.

Cardboard and Dive are just for example uses.
Smartphones without moding the os are a bit slow for good vr. But for folks that never experienced it, they get hooked right away just from the very good 3d let alone VR headtracking..
I remember how great a DK1 seemed even with the screen door effect.
GearVR is pretty much past that now.
All the best consumer displays are going to be starting at 4k.

I can't find the disclaimer sheets with the protos I have.

You will find a good read in the gearvr disclaimer. Many hardware devs have a hard time getting insured for some of the really cool stuff they are creating though.
Just like that device in the video. Got your seatbelt on? Helmet? What about whiplash/spine injury?
That was the point I was making.
I don't think it's a big deal but if you can't get insurance to sell it, it is.
Hence the large disclaimers.

And then there is that guy from the AR start-up that google just bought who says all the 3dvr stuff is screwing up peoples brains ! Don't help matters.

Disclaimers all around CYA..Ar has a lot of growth/adoption needs and price reduction before people will adopt it i believe. It will ride on the heels of VR and would make a great long term investment.
