Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I think you would have had a very good deal even at $2000.

Sucks when you deal with dodgy people though, I have dealt with a few.

Never been ripped off but I have had buyers never pay for domains they have agreed to buy.

I wouldn't pay $2k now, I've gone a different route with names now and obviously bought more since then.

But yeah that's what i thought at the time with that domain, at $2k I felt money could have been made on it, it just seemed like the perfect brand, works so well with VR.

Well as far as that industry goes I would put it in the top 7 or 8 keywords to own.

You can brand girls, p#rn, cams, well I suppoes the list goes on under that keyword because it's pretty general and sounds pretty good.

But yeah you have not gone a bad route since with names like VRvideo (y)

Very good domain for VR car simulation..Sold for very cheap price.....
Congrats to the winner...

Thank you GBS Domain, TradeMeDomains, MattG, Ram Corbin, and DNVia. I just received the domain today and quite surprised to get it. It seems to be the perfect domain for car simulation. Unfortunately I do not have the talents to develop this domain to it's potential; however I do plan to resell the domain to someone who can.

I thought VRARA was already a corporation that was active? Maybe they purchased it cheap but I think it was probably a domainer? TheVRARA.com is the company @vrperception was doing work for them as a Director.

VR is Evolving All Forms of Gaming

Gaming has come a long way from the first Atari, but VR is poised to take it so much further that you'll never be able to look back!

Virtual reality is poised to change society. From enriching exercise to ameliorating medical procedures, phobia relief, tourism, real estate and beyond, virtual reality is proving quite dynamic. In particular, VR has radically altered gaming. It is quite possible that virtual reality gaming will overtake traditional console gaming in a decade or less. VR is that captivating and immersive.

VR’s Motion Control

One of the major differences between VR gaming and conventional gaming is that most VR games incorporate motion controls. Though a handful of consoles have successfully incorporated motion control technology, none compare to VR. Virtual reality games work in tandem with extremely precise motion controls for all sorts of gaming purposes. From swinging a baseball bat in virtual reality baseball games to landing uppercuts in boxing games, swinging lightsabers, replicating the experience of flying and beyond, VR motion controls make the game player feel as though virtual reality is real. If one were to segue from a VR gaming experience with motion controls to the motion controls provided by the Wii, Xbox Kinect or PlayStation Move, he would notice a massive decline in responsiveness and accuracy. The physics of VR gaming really are significantly better than those provided by console games.

Full Immersion

Those who have tried the latest VR video games often compare them to entering the matrix. These games look and feel realistic to the point that it is easy to forget that the experience is virtual rather than real. This immersion is attributable to the rapidly improving graphical quality of VR games. Though the first VR games featured somewhat unimpressive graphics, the technology and consequently, the games’ aesthetics are advancing quite rapidly. Virtual reality gaming could reach the point at which the virtual realm becomes nearly indistinguishable from reality.

VR is Even Changing Gambling

Numerous gambling websites and gambling-oriented companies are incorporating virtual reality into their products. Though you can count the number of virtual reality casinos on one hand, the field is set to explode in popularity in the coming months and years. Virtual reality gambling has already reached the point where players can create their own casino rooms in which they can connect with virtual slot games and tables to play for real money. All that is necessary is a VR-ready computer and a VR headset such as the Oculus Rift. Gamblers make use of a game controller or a computer keyboard to control their virtual reality avatar’s actions. It is quite surreal to explore a casino in virtual reality, engage in a game and win or lose actual money.

One of the more interesting aspects of VR casinos is their incredible level of graphical detail. These virtual spaces can be explored from top to bottom. It is even possible to look out of VR casino windows and observe the outside world in exquisite detail. One can only imagine how VR gambling will evolve in the years to come. Perhaps people will be able to don the Oculus Rift headset and venture into virtual reality replicas of the Las Vegas strip or Atlantic City and gamble real money on whatever game suits their fancy.

A Word About Augmented Reality

Those who have used the Nintendo 3DS handheld gaming device or played Pokemon GO on their smartphone will testify to the magic of augmented reality gaming. This technology uses digital graphics on screens to alter one’s surroundings, making it seem as though video game elements exist in the real-world.

It probably won’t be long until augmented reality makes a casino or other highly nuanced virtual environment out of one’s everyday surroundings. Such technology will likely prove so enthralling that some gamers will spend more time in augmented and virtual realities than actual reality.

Just came across VRSites.com (@LeeNolan of JanusVR)...

VR Internet Browsing With JanusVR

Fly through the internet in virtual reality.

janusvr-1.png

Named for the Roman god of passages, famous for having two faces, JanusVR re-draws websites as multi-dimensional spaces which can be explored and shared.

JanusVR’s aim to immerse users in the web. The user first enters the experiences in a private homepage dashboard called a ‘pocketspace’, from there, users can travel anywhere. Typical internet links are re-imagined as portals which allows the user to fly or walk to new areas of the internet.

The experience also has a social aspect. Other JanusVR users who are on the same webpage, or occupying the same web ‘space’ can interact with one another, able to see other users’ avatars and chat to them and share things they might have found. It is even possible to broadcast their movement through cyberspace to share discoveries with whoever might be watching.

JanusVR is compatible with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift and works with tracked motion controllers as well as standard gamepads and keyboard and mouse. The JanusVR browser is free to download from Steam.

https://www.vrfocus.com/2017/04/vr-internet-browsing-with-janusvr/

The antithesis of a walled garden, JanusVR’s decentralized approach is to be a hyper-open development platform, focused on empowering their users to easily build and create new 3D environments into what McCrae calls a “fertile creative ground”. The developer community naturally gravitates towards this flexible environment, as demonstrated on their highly active Reddit page. JanusVR contributors are also encouraged to use websites like VRSites, a VR hosting and development platform, or SceneVR, which is making VR apps with HTML and JS, to also plug into JanusVR. According to Nukemarine, JanusVR plans to sprint ahead of other metaverse front runners by allowing you to connect into any platform (even competitors’) from JanusVR, something that none of the others (currently) allow.

Nice bro! May your streak continue!

thanks bud. VR is the future.. so short term profits not my priority at all personally.. just keep renewing stuff for few years til VR grows up from its current toddler stage hehe... I guess we all have a strategy.

but still.. some offers and oportuinities its best to consider seriously, as some may simply never come again.. I mean VirtualTe,ch nice as may be... it's getting bit weird and probably won't have 20 offers per year.. a crystal ball woudl be nice.. but... they do not exist. :)

cheers

I offered $750 for SexyVR.com in that auction. I almost had the name, but in the last 2 minutes it went to $760, phew. It's different when you have to decide quickly.

Recently bought VirtualRealityLenses + VirtualRealityGlass in the king-com.

Last I checked "virtual reality glasses" was searched for about 301,000 times on Google and partners... could not check the singular, because Google Adwords keyword tool "replaces" it with the plural, still good I hope.
