Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

NameSilo
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
So if you list it on GD and Afternic, and an offer comes in via GD search, will this offer come to you via GD or as a Price Request on Afternic?

Im not sure what you mean by gd search. gd search has nothing to do with afternic as far as I know

but if by gd search you mean gd auctions..

then if u get gd auctions offer, and have dn listed on both aftr+gd auctions, it'll only come through as email from gd auctions as an offer there.

price requests on afternic are not makeoffer on afternic either. makeoffer is when u click makeoffer button. price request is some vague interest.. email to agent maybe.. or call to agent.

It comes via GD with the subject line "You have an offer for your listing"

I dont pay for any premium services, always found them a waste of time. Just a personal thing though

Top man, thank you for the confirmation, I will add a bunch now.

I called Afternic up and asked them about price requests. It seems every price request has an offer, you just don't see it in your platform.

First Person Tennis Simulates Grand Slams
January 16, 2017

First Person Tennis is taking the VR game experience to the next level, as Mikori Games created the first tennis simulator developed for HTC Vive. Instead of staring down on the court from a bird’s eye view, First Person Tennis simulates what it would actually look like if you were the one on the court.

Users can see their racket swinging with their movements and can watch the ball hit the court. The game features seven different court surfaces: clay, grass, hard, blue-green hard, classic synthetic, indoor hard and indoor synthetic. Users can also experience 13 tournaments, including four Grand Slams and the nine ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments. It’s realistic enough to where advertising from sponsors appear in the tennis venues that are featured.

For now, the only option is to have customized male players. Using the split screen features, a player can compete with a friend.

no one is worried about the higher GD commission on Premium Listings? 20% if I remember right? if not worried why not? because you get higher sold prices via GD Premium on average?

or is it all a risk?

like he said u just make price a bit higher if you want..
otherwise, gd auctions is binding. if buyer don't pay he's out of gd auctions.. and banned.

binding is good. otherwise half your homemade sale lander offers never end up in sale... I'm sure we all saw it happen. kinda boring and annoying. many people just aren't serious.

there is also the fact that gd aution sale means they take care of all escrow and guarantee your money even if they run into problems after. they pay from their pocket.

u also do not need to worry about transfers out after sale etc.
if buyer buys on gd auction, and domain not on gd, it automatically ads 8$ to his checkout total price to get domain into gd for him. simple and easy. no hassle for anything.

all these factored in, 20% is well worth it. to me at least. can't be too greedy anyway.

as far as I know and read on np, and my experience, 90% of price requests never end up in a sale.

I also takled about this on pohone before.. they said price requests are not same as makeoffer.

I guess we'd need to talk to 50 agents. then take average. to get somewhere with this.

final note on all this, gd premium listings I talked about (panel/monetize) are free. no charge. they only show up in dn registration path on gd and are for gd regged dn only.
they have nothin to do with aftetrnic or gd auctions
in fact u can set a bin of $500 for this listing type..and then go to gd auctions and set bin of $1000 for same domain on gd auctions.

its free, but u gotta check out through cart with 0$ total for them anyway. weird like that i know.

also make sure you set them to auto renewal. else they'll disappear from the reg path view after 1 month by default.

enjoy optimizing your vr sales and auctions

do you believe there is benefit in selling both as package deal? can that even be mentioned in an auction? any experience with doing two for 1 sales? or would I be losing out? or would it boost the sale price?
Flippa would give you the best option to explain that...

If domains are listed as make offer on GD and Sedo then you complete a sale on one or the other do you only pay commission to the service from which you sold the Dn?

Just want to make sure there is no small print I've missed.

I like your VR blink as a brandable or even for the future VR devices will have eye tracking software... :xf.smile:
It can be also VRB link, while VRB may stand for lot of things, including Vodka Red Bull - bring you to the virtual reality without headset.

@LucidDomains

The godaddy offer has all this text in the email as well

The offer is valid from the time it was made through 25 November 2016 2:19:00 AM. Whether you choose to accept or counter the offer, you must respond by 25 November 2016 2:19:00 AM. After that, the offer is no longer binding on the part of the bidder.

If you accept this offer, we will process the sale through Transaction Assurance. Or, you may accept the offer as Push to Auction, the first bid in a 7-Day Auction. If you choose this option, the auction cannot be canceled, the bid will be considered binding, and you will be obligated to complete the sale.

If you have any questions, contact Online Support, email [email protected]or call us at 1300 351 076.

@alcy

Quite a few of my Cloud sales have been through Afternic, you get a price request, you have to set a Floor Price and Buy Now price and then wait, I have made more sales through Afternic than I have through Sedo

@gilescoley
no prob. like I said, 90% of all I ever read from people about aftrnic price request, and my own past ones so far (maybe 5-10 total) they were saying nothing followed after that, no sale and no further contact. I am of course very happy for anyone who is in the other 10%. and hope to be there too in my own future dealings!

cheers

didn';t you say they were already on gd auctions through afternic?

if so then adding them like this now to gd autions won't change anything. you'd need to delete all afternic.. and then add both from scratch.. adding gd first.

No, Afternic adds them to the GD search only.

Adding them to GD auctions directly is how you get them listed there.

I originally thought Afternic adds the domains to the whole GD platform, but I guess that's wrong.

Is it possible to add domains on GD auction if they aren't registered at GD?
