Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I had no intention of "in bad faith" these domains

So what do you have planned for them?

BUT since I do have them it's my best interest to profit from it as best I can and move on. If I can get $100-$250 for these "mistakes" then that's a good day.

And then your very next line is indicating bad faith, profiting from someone else's trademark is giving them ammo if they did decide to come after you. I'm sure you will be fine but do you really want to do business like this, your reputation is everything, especially with online business, and I know a lot of people wont do business with people who infringe on TM's, just think about whether its worth it for a few hundred dollars.

also just did a check and someone does own VRDaydream.com and has it listed on SEDO for a min offer of $90.
This person too must be an idiot like me. lol

Hes doing the wrong thing as well, hes a fellow NP'er as well

Anyway, its totally up to you how you do things

Just a suggestion here Av, this is where you might want to slow down a bit your need to respond and remember for a moment how much experience these guys have on here. Decades of experience. You have probably about as much experience in this game as I do, which is to say, very little. It may behoove you to resist responding and take into consideration the information offered to you by these guys, 98% will try to steer you in the right direction. Like the aftermarket, you have been told countless times about how it is a smarter bet, especially for those of us relatively new to domaining. How long did it take before you started to consider it, cause I know you are finally considering it, if not playing. You should have listened long ago, just as I should have. You should listen now.

p.s. yes I did notice a real big bunch of my+kw+vr.com dropped a day or two ego.. maybe somoene from round here. I not a big fan and prefer a few the+vr+kw.com far as adding stuff in front.. I guess some poeple round here own my+vr+kw.com too???

oh well to each his own and we don't really have sales yet to confirm either for future.
but we'll know when we get there.. that much is for certain.

i dropped many my+VR lately, couldn't hold all of them because of renewal had to make choice, just kept those in case :

MyVRcity
MyVRclass
MyVRcoach
MyVRholidays
MyVRevents
MyVRagent
MyVRhotel

well.. there is no sales without offers.. ;) especially if most of VR domains are without bins.

I am sure many of us here could have sold more names, had we accepted all the lower than expected offers in past. :)

Facebook shows how it's gonna make virtual reality social

The time for games is over -- virtual reality is getting social.

The platform, once dominated by immersive games, is about to get taken over by social networks, with Facebook leading the charge.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg showed off live VR chat using the Oculus Rift on Thursday, with his own Justin Timberlake look-a-like avatar.

On stage at the Oculus Connect 3 conference, Zuckerberg demonstrated the Oculus Touchcontroller's emotion options, which make avatars show facial expressions, letting you look surprised, happy or confused in VR.

"Eventually, the goal is to achieve most of what you saw today through gestural tracking and voice analysis," a spokeswoman for Facebook said.

The demo showed several features, including changing backgrounds to live locations like inside Facebook's offices or at Zuckerberg's home, where he was able to check on his dog, Beast.

While at his home in VR, his wife Priscilla Chan called in through Facebook Messenger, leading to a selfie -- with a virtual selfie stick -- of Zuckerberg, his wife in a chat box and their dog.

Social VR Platform ‘VRChat’ Raises $1.2M Seed Funding

“We offer users one application with infinite social VR experiences."

VRChatApp (com)

Fingers crossed for the next months... :$:

I like to add some observations. vr+slots is gaining search traffic according adwords keyword planner and also vr+chat+app, vr+dating+app etc. This kind of domains / keywords didn't have any search traffic just a couple of months ago...

I've been noticing many "360VR" + keyword domains here lately. Are you all "bullish" on it now?

I always thought (from reading on NP) that this combo might be too long? or overkill? and that 360 and VR together was redundant?

Don't get me wrong I'm not dissing your domain as I have similar ones too.

Do these have value now? curious to hear some comments.

360 video is going to evolve until it is inherently more interactive and the line will blur more with passive and interactive VR. 360 video will probably evolve as being non interactive, because it’s the best way to deliver an immersive story experience in VR. Interactivity is the enemy of good storytelling.

Firstly, we’ll see more 3D 360 content, allowing you to see more depth to the image, which is already possible but it’s a very difficult and time consuming technique.

Then we’ll see light field cameras like the Lytro that capture content from an area rather than a single point - meaning users will be able to move their head or strafe within a video.

Could be great news for my:

VR3DTube

I have also one of the most searched adult terms in VR+3D+keyword.

Exciting times...

and i got this one:
ShoppinVR,com
yea I suspected as much. although when I did reg those I did check historical sales for Daydream. as a result I proceeded to reg.

The word daydream has been around way before Google was even Google I think? ehh. just like Pokemon Go domains. thanks for confirming things though. of course I WILL post these on 4.cn where the "irrational" domain investor resides. lol and the idea of Trademarks very much a joke.

edit:

there's about 45 LIVE Trademarks using the keyword Daydream.

Thing is with that many trademarks. should this FACT scare someone who wants to use the word DayDream?

I've never understood the concept of Trademarks. Especially when I see so many LIVE Trademarks using the same Keyword.

I always think. I'm sure at some point in the beginning there was that FIRST trademark for the word Daydream. so what made thee other 44 LIVE Trademarks decide to proceed to pay to trademark a domain using the same word? Operative word here is PAY. sounds like too much of a hassle and it's not Cheap. Trust me I know I just got my Trademark done last minute.

so my point is. if those 44 other trademarks weren't "worried" that the word in their trademark is already a part of another trademark and I'm sure their lawyers pointed it out. then I'm assuming it's ok to use Daydream in my domain?

I await to be corrected and educated. lol Thanks in advance.

imho...i assume it becomes an issue mostly when the owner of a TM+VR domain intends to use that TM's intangible assets and compete in the same biz domains covered by that TM?

Regged: VRBODYSCAN dot com...

I'm thinking this might be a thing for social VR in the future. Instead of seeing each others crummy avatars you could see a true representation of your counter part. So I guess people will have to get their asses scanned some how for that.

Some start-ups are already jumping into the 3d/VR body scanning business for Avatar creation purposes...

Check out:

http://lunascanner.com/

PS - They are also looking for investors...
