.tv Video or Videos ??

Hi again Guys and Gals,

A quick question if I may.

Which sounds better, or which do you prefer ??

KEYWORDvideos.tv or KEYWORDvideo.tv ??

Both versions ( plural and singular ) are available, but which would you say is better ?? This name will be one for development, and not purchased for resale. I may register both, but which would you say sounds better to work as the main site and for branding, etc.

Google results show 7 million for KEYWORD videos ( Plural ) , and 43 million for keyword video ( singular ).

Any suggestions, views would be most welcome.

At this point. it is kind of hard to say, without knowing the word it is hard to say. It may get more hits on google one way, but does it make more sense that way? Or is the lower count a better fit?

My take would be, do you want to sell one type of video or multiple types?

With, say, ExerciseVideo.tv one would be promoting, IMO, a specific video. ExerciseVideos.tv would be more of a retail merchant presenting multiple styles and versions of exercise videos.

Not a great SEO guy, but I would think that the plural is more inclusive, whereas the singular might miss out on searches for the plural, because of the missing 's'. Maybe not, though, like I said, I'm not the best SEO guy around.

You don't have to worry about type ins much for now, which takes that out of the equation, at least.

I had a similar debate when i bought LesbianVideo.tv but always felt the plural was better so in the end i had to buy the plural also.

My take would be, do you want to sell one type of video or multiple types?

if as Rogue says you are selling more than 1 type of video then go for the plural version.

I think the majority of the time i would go for the plural version but i would buy both for a defensive strategy.

I too feel the plural sounds better. The site wont be selling anything, just a place where one can watch a variety of video clips. - Sort of like a small video portal. At the beginning, I will have to use available clips from Google and Youtube, but over time, I hope to add some videos of my own.

If my experience in blog vs blogs domains is any help. I have had a lot more interest in blog than in blogs?

In the blog case it implies more than one person as a contributor I think but videos is a natural if there are multiple videos. Video if it is one long video or all from the same location or source.
