domain VEUP.COM - IT DROPPED - I CATCHED IT!. High traffic it seems

For a while back I saw that "Veup.com" was listed on Snapnames, I noticed that the site was developed and had been running since 2005 with basicly the same big chinese site. (40 sites in history on archive.org, so it has been updated frequently).

I picked up this domain yesterday, and today (after 12hours or less), i've recived above 239 unique hits on Sedo.

Im really looking forward to see how many hits there are in 1day, but im guessing around 500 or more.

The term "Veup.com" has 941 results in google, apperantly many sites have links and so on to it!.

I just did a little digging and found a reference to it with a link to your website

It shows the following below it - Sales fashion bags of shoes for men and women. (< google translation)

maybe thats what they are all looking for ? try using the keywords, mens shoes, handbags or fashion and see if you get any clicks. could be a nice little earner if you do with that amount of visitors.

The traffic won't last long, so you can't really rely on traffic to help the value of the name.

I would say high xx to low xxx for right now.

I've tried "shoes" for a couple of days and "purses". I tried to apply the keyword "fashion" and "clothing" but sedo rejects it :td: .

Any other ideas? hehe

Zero clicks from over 6000 uniques, thats no good.

Im currently sitting and thinking about developing the site, as mentioned before I want to sell RC (planes/boats/helis++) abroad and not only in Norway, I just dont know yet what I would call the site, as the domain clearly isnt suited for it, unless I just brand it as "Veup".

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try translating the keywords to chinese and then using them. I don't speak chinese, so I can't help with the translation. I bet you chinese advertisers don't bid on keywords like fashions or shoes anyhow. They probably bid on the chinese version of the word for fashions or shoes... Just a thought.

I might just do that, but I want to run it a complete month at Sedo, just so people can see that the traffic is high!. I mainly want to sell it, even if it can be a goldmine.

Hits are nice but the real value is in any revenue earned! Expired Chinese traffic can be hard to convert.

Exactly, the amount of traffic that a name gets doesn't matter, unless that traffic can bring in rev.

And btw, in your title, its not catched(no such word), the word you are looking for is caught. (opps, I see you were already corrected) :kickass:
