Help please!

Why is it that a domain I own is listed as having a PR of 5/10 on URLTrends.com but it gets no traffic whatsoever on Sedo? Even domains I've reg'd with absolutely no history get at least 1-2 hits a month!

Here's what URLTrends says...

PageRank: 5/10
Alexa Rank: Not Ranked

Incoming Google Links: 0
Incoming Yahoo Links: 4
Incoming MSN Links: 5
Incoming Alexa Links: 13
Overall Incoming Links: 22 (Overlap is possible - Estimated 19 unique links)
Outgoing Links: 32 (Ratio: 0.000% - Each Link Receives Approx. 0.133 PR)

Anyone have any idea about this?

If you ever had it pointed to a high PR site it could have fake PR. I owned a domain that I pointed to Google for a few weeks and it developed a PR 4.

If you ever had it pointed to a high PR site it could have fake PR. I owned a domain that I pointed to Google for a few weeks and it developed a PR 4.

I've never pointed it anywhere... I registered it cold and have never had it parked anywhere but Sedo. It's had a PR of 5/10 since I first reg'd it. Plus, it has incoming links. Why don't I get any traffic?! I just don't get it!

Traffic is based on the keywords people are likely to type in to find your name
and how likely people click on the links
What is the Domain Name and where are the links coming from

It has only been parked with nothing the se's would ever rank anyways.

This is a great example of why PR is worthless as a indicator of traffic..

also most links to amaze.net are from link pages ,or obscure websites that dont get much traffic themeselves..Historical society type stuff

Thanks for the info! I'm learning more every day! It would've been nice to have traffic but as a domain I think it's pretty valuable (real dictionary word, only five letters, etc.)

What do y'all think concerning value?

I have found this interesting as I have a domain parked at sedo

www.freeindiansex.info and even though the search says it has visits daily I have had no clicks at all only a few views I did think I was starting to understand this parking biz but alas I am not I have put my own searchwords in but nothing, zilch

This is the last one that I bought after many many mistakes but because a search showed it was a daily search for term thought it must make me some money

ok this may sound like a silly question but :lol:

If I type in a search of freeindiansex I just get told "site not found"

How can you make money from search related words parked at sedo if no website is made. I thought it was the idea to pick good search words
