Verisign Inc. the American internet giant that operates a diverse array of network infrastructure and the authoritative registry for the. Com and .Net, recently announced - HOW WE’RE RESPONDING TO THE COVID-19 CRISIS - that in order to support individuals and small businesses affected by the Coronavirus crisis, they will freeze registry prices for all of their Top-level Domains (TLDs), including .Com and .Net, through the end of 2020.
Such announcement is a great relief for Worldwide Domain investors that are facing financial difficulties due to the Coronavirus crisis.
However, according to Andrew Allemann of Domain Name Wire(DNN), "As of right now, Verisign can’t raise prices on .com anyway."
