Value of Single Word dot NETs

I know most single word .coms are taken so I was wondering what was the general rule on valuation of the single word .net equivalent?

10-15% value of the .com unless there is traffic associated.

Wow...that much of a difference!? I am a bit shocked. I thought that .nets were more popular than that.
