WATCH OUT! pm'd about this, was told he/she bought it for $5K three months ago... but whois STILL shows Christopher as the owner..... makes you say "HMMMMM.."
my apologies if it was legitimately bought from Mr. Nguyen, but the fact that the whois info for carz.com and omgretards.com is the same EXCEPT for the email addy doesn't help.... beware.

well, posting that you "own" the domain, and quoting a price that you "bought" it for 3 months ago, although the domain shows no change in whois info in that time frame, doesn't help to establish credibility. Also, your other domain omgretards.com, uses christopher nguyen as registrant, but with a gmail email and different street address.
now to say you are "partners" with the old (current?) owner is confusing/misleading, and certainly NOT the same as "yes i own the domain name carz.com...", and I posted what I did, since things did not add up, before someone jumped on what looked like an opportunity. if your "partnership" is legit, Mr. Nguyen can send me an email from the address listed in whois for carz and i will GLADLY apologize and edit my posts. otherwise, report all you want, i would rather get a ding for being too cautious by attempting to protect fellow nper's than say/do nothing when something is very suspicious.
Yes it does matter who owns the name. If you don't own the name, then you shouldn't be asking for appraisals for the name. If you are completely legit, then you should offer up any info that a potential buyer might need to prove your identity. If you don't like people checking up on you, then you're in the wrong business. SlimPickins isn't calling you out, he is just stating something he has observed. There's no reason to get all defensive unless you have something to hide. But why even bring any of that up, does it matter who the owner is? no! All i did was ask for the value of the domain. So your warning people about what? I never said I was selling it!
So when you say "its confusing/misleading" or telling people to "be careful" what do you mean? All I did was ask for a value, there is nothing confusing or misleading about that. What do they have to be careful of?
