discuss Using Tether(USDT) for short selling BTC?

I believe with the stability that Tether is holding right now, it is the perfect coin for shorting opportunities.

While the exchange doesn't allow it, you can actually use it to trade the short side of the market.
When you see the market tumbling, you can convert your btc to tether. And when it stabilizes and starts going back up, you can convert it back to btc.

That is like a trade from short side.

Anyone else doing that or using this technique?
I have tried this time and again with small quantities, but not with big amount. But then, this technique seems to work.

This is working amazing. Tether is down as of now but I did save a lot on the downward movement of Bitcoins.

I did thought of the same technique.

Problem is that I am also reading bad news about Tether being served up notices from the GOVT.

So I don't know at what moment the USDT boat will sink.
