Also its much easier to work with bot that search domains, i found tons of best domains and i mean best domains which no body ever register them, and its f*cking weird , there was a day i found very high quality domain until i register it somebody already buy it , so from experience not theory, out there is alot of high end domains its just impossible to find them by hand, with bot its much easier,

Hey Stu,

I wrote a keyword analyzer (in python [linux]) to search for the most popular keywords in new daily registrations. Then I took a compiled list of the best selling keywords for domains, then I combine moderately trending keywords with successful domain combinations.

Example... if "Coin" is trending, okay so I look for RedCoin BlueCoin BlackCoin BestCoin NewCoin etc... but I have a spreadsheet with 300 Red[kw] cells that I just replace [kw] with the keyword.

I check these domains against the existing Zone file... if there are ones that have not been registered I will register them. Something the zone is not 100% accurate but that list of 300 gets dwindled down to about 5 or 10, and that's where your "money is".

I've registered strong IoT and VR domains this way (that received inquiries)... BUT... and this is a BIGGGGG BUT!

BUT... it's no easier or more profitable than just buying a good dn for $200-$500 and getting to work outbound. IMO

For a process like this to be effective you have to monitor the daily handregs EVERY DAY. It gets to be a pain, then you are just left with a difficult sales pitch to someone who sees that you just registered it.

MY OPINION is that these types of domains can be valuable long term 5 - 7 years + hold. But you have to keep an eye on them as well. If they term starts to pick up traction then dump the garbage that didn't become popular and keep your winner.

If you are looking for quick flips in $100 dollar bills that can be doable, but I'm thinking it's a lot of work. You may have a better process than myself so i guess it is worth a shot if this appeals to you.

Either way, that is my experience with this topic.

They all use bots. I was hired by a service (that shall not be named) to determine the HD formula of what they were targeting.

I watched the zones, gathered a list everything HD acquired, analyzed it by search metrics and keywords.

I might be stating the obvious but surely how good, or bad, a bot can be in domain picking must depend on the niche pretty strongly. For example, if picking 5N domains, then lots off sales history, the bots can look at price comparisons, probably do pretty well (but so could humans). But say in two or three word phrases, I would think right now a human is probably substantially better in being attuned to nuances. Now there might be niches where the bot is better because it does not have the biases of a human picker, and simply looks at it more objectively. Like I often see biases, some of which are no longer based in recent information, in domainers here. As an example, some view that .org is for nonprofits, but if you look at data the last year or two I don't think it supports the idea that mainly they are selling only in that niche. A bot might look better at trends and make better picks.

Last 2 domains I bought Vapour dot cloud and ColdestAir dot com and dream them up all day to register. Selling them is the time consuming part buying them is the relaxing part well till you find a good one to get adrenaline rush. I actually blogged the name I wasn't going to worry about selling but keywords still worked.
