Us.tv - Is it worth to purchase ?
I regged it yesterday , and the renewal fee is $5000/Yr.
And eNom only accept payment via Wire transfer but not eNom point.
How do you think about US.tv ?
Please post your opinion,
Thanks,
Kam
Regging Us.tv definately depends on 2 things:
1) Do you plan to develop it, or sell it?
2) How much money do you have?________________________________________________________________
If you plan on developing it, and have lots of money, then neither of the above apply.
If you plan on developing it, and don't have lots of money, will you be able to keep up with the $5,000 a year to register it?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
If you bought it to resell, then you can hope you sell it within the first year, for more than $5,000 to make a profit.
In the second year, you will have to sell it for more than $10,000, to make a porfit.
In the 3rd year, you need to make more than $15,000, in the 4th year more than $20,000!!

I think US.tv has great potential, but at $5,000 a year, it always a gamble. The longer you keep it, the more money YOU HAVE TO MAKE, to make a profit, or even break even.

As many already said, if you have a develop plan, then congrats.
If you just hope to hold it for few years and sell it with a higher price.
You probably need to take a look of following table.
Good luck
(sold price) (renewal fee paid) (profit)
it.tv $12,000 $10,000 $2,000
de.tv $20,000 $10,000 $10,000
tx.tv $7,500 $10,000
-$2,500
Also UV.tv $4,355 $400 $3620 (sedo fees also)
James illustrates a good point. The more the reg fee, it doesn't always mean a larger profit. You odds are better with a smaller reg fee.

You can easily make $5K a year with it. Offer free domain registrations (subdomains). Offer free dns service, email etc. Free ad supported hosting.. start your own free tv channel. Billions.
Maybe Mike knows something too! :hi:
