Hello,

I have just searched for a domain name at one domain registrant and found a quite good domain in my opinion. The domain is made of two words. .Com, .info and .net are already taken and .net shows up as a premium domain with a price of 700 dollars, when i put in the phrase of a domain to freekeywords.wordtracker.com it shows 400 searches, and the phrase in the google comes up with 1,400,000 results and when put in quotes (example "domain phrase" ) 600,000 results show up. So as i am new to the domaining business i ask you pros, weather its worth to buy that .us domain?

Edited: i also checked at web archive and found out that it was used in 2003

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

When you type the two word phrase in Google/Yahoo/MSN, are there any advertisers listed at the top or in the right margin? If there are several or more advertisers, then the name is worth registration imo. .US is a very good extension alternative when the .com is taken.

If you plan on developing the name: yes, do it. As an investment, it would be a tough call for me, and I'd probably end up leaving it.

Be very careful. The name may have been dropped because the original owner was a spammer who got the name banned by the major search engines. This happened to me with a .TV name some time ago.

Well the cached version of that domain is a parked page

also .com with the "-" between those two words is being sold for 1000

Doesn't sound like a winner to me.

Honestly, I don't see it really worth much more than reg fee.

Just because the .com or .net has a certain asking price doesn't mean the .com or .net name is worth that asking price, the seller could have their head in the clouds, as is very often the case...

Buy the name,

You'll never know unless you try it.

Dont listen to appraisals as no one has seen your name yet.
