Unique visitors or raw?

Here's the thing: I have a few domains set up with a tube script. These domains get about 30-50 visits a day but only a few of them are unique. I use a cron to keep the vids updated daily so I know there are ppl (on one site, the average is 30 visits a person) who return daily to find the vids they wanna see.

My question pertains to the traffic: Is it necessarily better to have loads of unique and little repeat visitors OR to have loads of repeat visitors and only some unique? I thi8nk it's better to have a 'fan base' who returns daily opposed to ppl who come view for 3 seconds, and leave without ever returning. But what is your take on it? Would you want a domain that has a 'following' or a domain that gets mostly uniques?

I think it's harder to build a base of frequent visitors. While someone looking to purchase the domain alone might want more uniques, I think that the fan base is more valuable in the long run, provided that it can be built upon.

So, I guess my answer is that if I was looking to sell right away, I'd take the higher uniques. If I was looking to develop further, I'd like the repeat visitors.

If you're looking to operate this site for the long term, then having regular visitors is your best bet at conversions, especially if you are monetizing with affiliate programs, etc.

If you're just looking for a quick domain flip, then it's uniques that alot of people seem to be concerned with.

Thanks for both of your replies -- I repped ya both.

They say that a person needs to see an ad a few times before they feel compelled to click on it. So I think I should utilize the traffic, since it seems that ppl visit daily. With 1 of the 3 sites, it averages about 30 visits per visitor (last month and this). I'll keep this up and hope for the best

I want the kind that makes the most money.

That is the benchmark I focus on first and foremost. For me, that's a process of converting new visitors to paid subscribers.
