Unique daily visitors

Newbie question.

Re: The number of daily unique visitors for a domain.....


Where can you get this statistic, the daily unique visitors, when you are evaluating a domain? Only from the the present domain holder? If so how is the number verified?

This stat can only be gotten from the stats where the domain is hosted at. The only way to verify it is to get the actual log files from the server.

You can get them from the actual log files, or go to a website that will keep track of stats for you. But if you have a domain with a hosting package and they are both active, I'm sure your host has stat logs somewhere kept in the server. Email your host. Or you can check in your control panel, there is normally a place in there that says "Webstats" or "Statistics."

Also, if your domain is hosted and has a cPanel, you can click on Webstats and choose one of the scripts. Although it's an easier way, it's not as accurate as server logs.

Webalizer in the cPanel is what I use
