Value of unique visitors to poker sites

I have a poker domain currently parked on sedo, the domain gets between 12-20 unique per month. However, I don't get any clicks b/c for the cctld (de) Sedo doesn't have any relevant poker adds to place on the page. Anyway, my question is, what is the value of uniques visitors to a poker domain, or in other words, how many unique does a poker domain need to have to be worth something? I ask this because with the higher payouts for poker keywords or affiliate sites, I have a feeling that it is a lower threshold to make a poker domain worth something as opposed to any other type of domain. For the most part, poker names on SEDO earn about $1.30 - $1.50. However the keyword must be set for "poker" an only "poker".

One of the problems you might be having is the source of your traffic my not be targetable. Its hard to give an assessment on your name without knowing with the name is. Its like going to the Doctor and say "doc I have this pain and I need help but I can't tell you were it is".

I currently own over 4000 poker domains (even after selling a large portion of them) and I mostly park them at Fabulous and a few I still park at SEDO depending on the names and their targetability. I do not do the poker affiliate because in the US, it can be considered "aiding and abetting gambling" if you are receiving money from the poker sites for real money sign ups. The DOJ usually does not come after you on this matter unless you are making a large amount , but the only problem is that if you are accused of it its like racketeering and they seize all you funds and you have no money to defend yourself. Racketeering laws were used to make things hard on the mafia many years ago.

If you traffic is coming from Europe especially Germany, then the links that appear on your parked pages will NOT contain poker links. Right now, EuroPoker has launched a very large ad campaign in the media for EuroPoker (part of the ongame network). They are doing this from East Berlin … I suspect on the public broadcast stations and these ads are flowing into Western Germany. Now.. other sites are doing the same and if your name is getting traffic from Germany then this might explain why your PPC is null.

Poker domains that have the word “free” or they visitor is looking for “free poker” will have the highest click thrus on SEDO parking. But if your keywords on the parked page is “free poker” then your PPC will be about .10 per click. Its very important to set the keyword for “poker”.

Poker Instruction or Cheat names also do well on SEDO but then again you must set the keyword for poker.

SEDO uses google ad words and non of these are direct links to Poker Sites. However Fabulous uses direct links for Poker/ Gambling sites and since they are not in the USA and gambling is legal in Australia then its not a problem. The PPC at Fabulous will usually be 3 to 5 times higher and the click thru’s will be much higher if you can find targetable traffic. If your names has no Trade Mark infractions you might consider applying for Fabulous Parking.
