Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

Thanks to Undeveloped, my $10k external sale via them failed as their staff told to the buyer that my domain is listed on Undeveloped as make offer with starting offer $5k and as result buyer cancelled deal..anyway few months later I sold that name for $20k (obviously not via Undeveloped) to another buyer so thanks Undeveloped for failed sale!
External 10k sale via "them", what that even means? What was your minimum offer (if not 5k)?

? it was you who made the minimum offer 5k. Then you blame undeveloped?

Yeah, this needs a LOT more detail.

Lead (escrow) was created on Undeveloped by me (seller) with $10k agreed price. After that buyer was in contact with Undeveloped staff and they told him that domain is listed without fixed price but with minumun offer of $5k and he can make that offer to me (seller) and that caused buyer to thing that he overpays for domain which was already in escrow and he decided to cancel deal. Thats all.

Hard to imagine that UNDeveloped would bother to contact a potential buyer for any reason other than to collect payment. They’re not paid to do anything more than facilitate payment and transfer of domain.

Wow..This is not right if true.

Undeveloped's role shouldn't be "advisory" when an agreed price is already confirmed by buyer and seller.

I think there's more to this story.

wow that is disturbing if true @Reza

10k might be a small amount for undeveloped as a company but its a pretty big transaction and if this story is true than a mistake of one employee could have caused a lot of financial loss to someone. To put it into perspective 10k USD is more than what the avg Indian employee earns in an entire year.

but he imported the lead , undeveloped should see that the negotiation has already been done and price was agreed

I dont think it was done intentionally. There might be a communication gap.

I thing so as well that there was some communication problem and Undeveloped staff just not knew that domain already in escrow(external lead), buyer never used or heard about Undeveloped thats why he contacted them and i guess that caused problem and Undeveloped staff never had any bad intention as they are interested as well in sales at higher amount.

Anyway im glad that this sale failed as few months later i sold name at twice more price.

And im still waiting launch of new Undeveloped website on 18 June as everyone here, I like very much Undeveloped interface.

It seems that you've put domain in escrow while it was still listed on UD with your minimum offer?
Buyer then calls UD and they were telling them all about your listed domain along with minimum offer, right?
That was unfortunate for a while...... BUT not for long (y)

Hi Harsh,

I completely agree with you. Every sale counts. Even a $100 transaction should and is being taken serious at all times by our staff.

I’m not familiar with this case and so can’t comment on what happened.

We would obviously never on purpose tank a deal. We miss out on our commission when that happens as well so there’s no incentive ever for anyone working at Undeveloped to do that.

@Argentum feel free to send me more details via a private message. I’d like to learn more.

Kind regards,

Reza

All he had to do to discover that was to just search for the domain on Undeveloped.com and find the listing! Didn't need anyone to tell him.

Once you start getting serious offers or closing deals, to play it safe you have to modify or remove all other or lower-priced listings asap. I sometimes delete domains from other platforms if one platform has a serious offer on it.

The final logo is listed in between of above iterations ;).

One request to @Reza , please if you can, add message tracking feature for seller, in Undeveloped dashboard.
apart from it i don't have any complain for Undeveloped.
Great Platform.

Hi Domainuu,

Thank you for the feedback. We've tested offering this. It hasn't become a feature yet though but might in the future.

Kind regards,

Reza

Thanks @Reza I am super keen to see this feature, eventually it will help in more sale for seller and Undeveloped as well.
