Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.
I can fairly accurately tell when a purchase won't go through based on the buyer's country of origin, email and chat conversation (if any), so I don't get frustrated when a payment doesn't happen because well, it wasn't a sale to begin with.
For some obvious dead bidders, I'd prefer the ability to end the transaction abruptly and move on, and spare Undeveloped from chasing the buyer. In most cases, however, it's fine to let them to their job.
That said, one little thing that really could help identifying serious buyers is putting an optional "Company" field in the contact form. Since it's optional, it won't scare buyers away, but it makes a huge difference when you know you're dealing with someone not afraid of identifying himself.
I'm the wrong person to ask, i'm having non payers waste my time so feel it doesn't help.
Each to their own and undeveloped are clear they won't change it anyway so it's a wasted discussion.
I'm out of this.
they go by # requests they get for a feature or modification or whatnot.. like most companies...
I do not expect them to do everything I tell them... but for now I am happy client. I mean when you look at some other places.. that don't even bother to come to np to talk.. this level of support is just nextlevel.
Actually you can. It's clear we can't have both.
Thanks for writing it out here, I think that's an interesting perspective you have of things.
One thing I don't understand is how could a seller potential deal outside your market or your procedures when Undeveloped could be the part of conversation as well? That would mean that Undeveloped's escrow team would oversight the process and any seller that breaches such a condition could be banned from marketplace.
Another thing that could work would be have a mandatory message box when someone makes an offer, from my experience anybody who is looking forward to buying a name and not wasting time would put his effort and string a sentence together. Surprisingly the unpaid customer did not write a single message or replied to the long texts I had sent through chat box.
Lastly, once an agreement is reached could the system not be built for buyer to be proceeded to buy it now page with the price that has been agreed and would require buyer to checkout for certain period lets say 24 hours? Don't know how much effort would this take but this would certainly solve all problems.
I have far more than one non payer and one canceled sale !
I have 9 cancelled sales at the moment
On a different topic...
Can you please fix UI a bit? Currently the navigation within "my portfolio" is not too handy, the pagination switcher is only at the bottom of the page, and the action buttons and menu like "edit", "delete" etc. are only at the top, and while i'm in the middle of the page i need to scroll manually to the top or bottom, and for 250 line page it could be frustrating. So maybe you could duplicate the pagination at the top, and action buttons at the bottom, and also make for example nice scroll arrows at the side, just like it's here at NP?
Thank you
Have the same issue with one of my names that i received an offer on and after accepting no payment, maybe you could help me look into it.
Thanks
Hi Hui,
Your transaction was initiated a week ago. Give the transaction some time or relist it if you prefer that.
Kind regards,
Reza
did u like my idea for little link of buyer info like i showed in sedo pic...
couple others mentioned theyd like to know bit who they selling to...ty
Quick note:
We know from which countries most fake offers are placed. We'll further analyze our data and enable a suggestion from a seller here (thanks for the tip!) to see if that helps to decrease the number of fake offers.
A captcha will be added to the offer box for all offers placed from countries that are flagged by us. We'll monitor the conversion rates and if they don't decrease but the number of fake offers do, we'll keep the captcha in place for those countries.
Also, the option for buyers to submit their company name will be implemented sooner than initially planned.
plz make captcha optional in settings...for all people and all countries... i leave some landers and companies strictly to avoid stupid endless google captcha picture puzzles... which kill leads for sure... and ill be sure to leave u too if captcha isnt 100% optional.. regardless of risk countries etc... as far as deal breakers go...thats near top for me... captchas make me extremely nervous....ty
Good point. But it doesn't have to be google captcha, just any onsite script, like 4+5, or turn all flowers one direction...i leave some landers and companies strictly to avoid stupid endless google captcha picture puzzles...
Hi,
Thanks for sharing your feedback. The current flow is the highest yielding flow, designed to get the maximum revenue in for you. I understand fake bidders are annoying but I think it's more important to get in maximum revenue rather than minimum fake offers.
Regardless, if other sellers can get involved and vote on the following we'll make something happen:
1: Would you like to cancel a sale completely? So no payment can be collected anymore as the transaction is entirely canceled.
or 2: Would you like to have the option to relist a domain that's under "agreement reached", while keeping the transaction still active?
Kind regards,
Reza
I vote for a sms featureHow about SMS confirmation for some countries, rather than captchas?
At least SMS helps confirming identity somehow.
That's why I asked the question earlier, do we want the maximum possible revenue or the least possible fake offers?
