Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

Hi @Reza how come buydomains would be given preference rather than our members (forward domains) in the search bar?

We have been forwarding traffic to DAN.com. I dont think its fair.

I don't think its a preference towards certain sellers, rather a preference towards dot com domains. This is a very disappointing change, showing non-exact match above the exact match. If they continue on this road, they are going to end Sedo-style, and you'll see wrapdsasadhsajashjdsahjd.com and rewurwiriuwrwrap.com and cxbcnbzbvbnwrapcxzznvmvz.com above wrap.at, because these are the dot com.

Hi DNGear,

We do not rank their portfolio higher than any other portfolio, we actually devaluated their portfolio ranking even lower because they own so many domains.

Per country we have a different TLD importance ordering based on conversion data. In some countries, .com domains are ranked higher than other TLD's.

However, that doesn't mean that the behavior you've seen is correct. I've asked our guys to fix that since a non-exact match .com shouldn't rank that high.

That was a strange thread to observe for me this morning. We simply introduced enhanced security for our buyers since the DAN Bot is sending authorization codes to buyers via the buyer control panel. All buyers get a secret key to access their buyer control panel and can easily reset it when they can't log in.

On Trustpilot.
DAN has 88% 5 star reviews. 4% 1 star reviews. 540 reviews total.
Sedo has 53% 5 star reviews. 27% 1 star reviews! 73 reviews total.
Afternic has 55% 5 star reviews. 41% 1 star reviews. 22 reviews total.

A few months ago Sedo was close to 1 star on Trustpilot, recently it went to 3.5, now 4. Reason? A flood of new reviews, and Trustpilot do say "To our knowledge, this company collects reviews by asking its customers to share their experiences on Trustpilot" so like any shrewd company Sedo will solicit reviews, but only from the happiest customers. More interesting is recently a lot of the bad reviews were publicly marked as being under review by Trustpilot as Sedo had complained about them - were they not authentic or did Sedo pay to get them removed (think BBB)? The remaining bad reviews of Sedo are bad, but it does seem like quite a few have disappeared.

I noticed that when I was having trouble with Sedo, which did get resolved, but not without effort. Never had a problem with Dan/Undeveloped and all queries or changes have been handled quickly and well.

I have been using the registrars name-servers (not DAN) and using registrar forwarding to the DAN pages since I started with DAN a few months ago. All the traffic graphs were working well when visiting the URL via any browser, and recording traffic everyday but all the viewable by the visitor graphs somehow stopped working yesterday and have disappeared.

What could cause that to happen? No, it's not in the settings and I never changed anything. I checked it anyway and the settings still say always show traffic graphs.

After considerable time back and forth with DAN on delayed chats it is obvious they simply do not understand the basic issue, possibly it's a language issue, I am guessing.. They tell me I can view traffic data after I login and look at the chart near bottom right side. I have explained to support several times I am only talking about the inability for page visitors to view the charts starting yesterday, however over past few months the graphs were always seen by everyone and everyday. I don't know how to make it any clearer :xf.frown:

P.S. I really like DAN.COM and consider DAN to be an excellent overall solution but imo they need to improve communications and also hire staff who works US time zones because the 9 hour time difference is a problem.

Your contact page shows you’re in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Today is Thursday, almost Noon in Amsterdam - why do your offices “closed” then?? You are obviously working now, and I don’t get it. @Reza

Has anybody noticed a significant drop in traffic to their DAN domains ? Since 7am New York time to to now, about 12 hours, traffic, including bots has plunged to almost nothing.

Of course you have to have google analytics to see the traffic, but this is very unusual for a monday.

Got a sale on undeveloped today.

If I had 1 suggestion it would be that they allow you to type a response to the person before deciding to accept/reject/counter their offers. Besides that it was pretty smooth, but I want to see how the transfer goes still on this one as I haven't done one through namecheap prior to this.

It caused many sellers to counter in text-only without showing the system what decision was made (accept/reject/counter). It ensured many transactions had to be canceled and manually recreated and also caused the experience of many buyers to become confusing and not as smooth as you have experienced last Saturday.

We understand the need to reply in text and therefore allow it right after a counter is made or an offer is declined.

Very interesting. Thanks for the reply about this. Things went very smooth as far as the actual transaction went. I may be putting a lot more undeveloped landers up in the future going forward :)

We take issues that have to be taken serious but non-issues not so.

Stop spreading nonsense based on your own assumptions and or that of your friends. You've been doing this more frequently and that's why I kept ignoring your messages.

There are no technical issues present, all technical issues that users notify us of are always resolved immediately by a senior dev. When did you contact us again and mention that there's a technical issue at checkout? I haven't seen it or heard about it.

All marketplaces that accept Amex, are footing you the bill when they get hit with a chargeback. Amex offers zero protection and that's why we'll never accept Amex anymore. It's not going to happen and not a single deal is lost because we don't offer Amex. We also operate without Amex for years, just because someone raised this topic made it relevant for you, which shows what you base your posts on.

To conclude, if you really think we'd leave money on the table by having technical issues at checkout you seriously underestimate our intelligence. Every single sale that bounces, results in less revenue for us as well so to assume that we're ignoring serious issues is laughable at best.

Reza and UnderDeveloped team are used to refuting the customer problems, and this one is an earlier example where I had pointed out that these guys need to be more open and receptive to customer feedback rather than coming at their customers too strong, which they always try to do with your posts.

But wouldnt learn.. oh well, I aint losing anything!

Adding a GOOGLE Tracker id will be better, the only downside is that the funnel settings are not available in GOOGLE.

as for @namemarket upon first visit with using dan txt record vrs NS , has been known to give a very slow load time. maybe enough for visitors to leave before opens. you won't see this as your first visit is cached. just from my experience, and others.
