Yes, I could have sold them now and bought 10x as many .tvs

If I were to go back in time, I would reg a handful amount of .TVs for development/end user selling purpose, and I would reg a whole bunch of LLLL.com for resell.

If I knew what I know now about LLLL.com, I would've regged at least 10,000 LLLL.com - mixed quality (even though I came late in the game in mid 2007)

lol why not 20,000... maybe when all the prem tv names are gone then we will be ok because its all about .Supply and demand.but i think it may be time to be a little bit honest about dot tv.

Early 2000 I got a bunch of LLLL.com and this well before investing in .tv names. And my first LLLL.com sale was only in 2005 : 'Exki dot com' for 2,5k. 4 letter.com names are getting value with time like .tv does, slowly but surely so ...patience ! The difference between the two extensions at that time is that all good LLLL.com were already taken and already high priced when dictionary .tv names were still available in this very promising cutting-edge extension . No regret. :)

maybe when all tv premium name under $500 are gone this will be a landmark.
we need a thread saying how many LL.TV lll.tv NNN.TV ARE left this is the sort of information we need..like how many prem name got regd this week ?were working in the dark.

and i would like to add looking at some tv names on godaddy auction.
i think there must be lots of people reging names on drugs they make little sence.and make my englands.tv a xx,xxx crazy names

oh hells no. You just had to compare it to biz.

OF COURSE biz is more valuable, I am currently, secretly buying up all the 7character .biz's I can get my hands on. Don't tell anyone.

Mike I do not understand what you are saying.

Are you saying you should have bought LLLL.com in 2007 instead of .tv?

What would you have been able to afford in .com that was worth big money?

The type of one word generics for sale in .tv were gone a long time ago in .com

What is the point of this thread?

Nope.

How far back? Anyway, if we go back in time, I would've gotten more quality .tv names over any LLLL.com anyday.

Personally, I own only 1 LLLL.com & not looking to get anymore.

First off "WE" there is no WE last I checked you do not pay my rent, nor does anyone else, same as I don't pay anyones rent.

This is not a team sport, we collaborate on ideas and themes but at the end of the day your success will come down to YOU.

So "WE" are not in the dark. We need a thread to do what? Here's an idea, DO YOUR OWN WORK. Just like everyone else. I did the thread on LL.tv how many regged. And that helps someone be successful how? I did it as a research note for everyone here but it does not make anyone more successful.

If you are regging a .tv and just waiting for the big money to come then I think you have a long wait. If you came to .tv in 2007 I think you have a really long wait if all you did was reg a domain that was available since 2000 and say I think I have the winning numbers, JACKPOT.

Not sure of the gist of these threads, I wish I bought LLL.com in 2003 for $100 to $200 or wished I regged women, media and forex .com for free in 92. I mean these hindsight threads mean nothing IMO. I wish my ancestors bought Land from William Penn on the Suburban PA Main Line in 1600 for .10 an acre.

And another note about being in the dark, there has been a ton of research and info written here to educate someone new,

The history of .tv
Premium pricing
Premium deals
Ahead.tv
Weekly sales reports
The biggest players
Protection domains like tv.com

Most domainers would have a balance of extensions and naming themes. So it is not a own .tv or LLLL.com, or .tv vs tv.com.

This is not a basic necessity either you like the extension or you do not. Either way you will be fine and so will the extension. Again IMO

I have one llll.com ........ ybhi.com , regged before the buyout of the llll's
i have 15 .tv's i plan to keep
But the one's i wished i had 'discovered' are the numeric .coms nnn.com and nnnn.com ......... much more rare !!!! at least i got one !!!

as eq says , some balance will help any portfolio !

Just about anything (that had centain value) has done better than .tv over the last few years. The year is 2008 and still the number of .tv reported as selling for over 4 figures in a year can be counted on two hands, and that is after many people are shelling out 3/4 figures per name in reg fees. Maybe .biz has done worse, though even that is debatable.

4 FIGURES? you must have a lot of fingers on each hand as there were over 80 .tv sales of 4 figures or more in 2007.

There were 4 this week.

This nonsense really does get old.

I think you have misread my post,

"the number of .tv reported as selling for over 4 figures in a year can be counted on two hands".
