TV Series in Domain Name

Is there any legal issues with a domain having a TV series name like Scrubs or Friends?

For example, scrubsisthebest.com?

I think it depends.

From what it sounds like, you should be ok.
It sounds like you might develop a fan site?

But dont take my word for it.

All of my personal sites are TV related and it's rare to hear about a problem with a domain name like that as long as you aren't misrepresenting it as an official site or using it to promote porn or something like that.

I have one for the show Supernatural and the new Sarah Connor Chronicles and many of the best fan sites for shows actually get perks from the press agents for the series.

I'm not a lawyer and I can't promise you they won't come after you, but if you don't give them anything to be upset about it's unlikely you'll have a problem.

I haven't had problems, I have a Heroes related site, and a Psych site.
