Hi all,

i just registered the name aliencosmos.com that i want to develop into a site about alien sightings. Do you think that there are any infringements with the Alien(s) movies or the tv series Cosmos by Carl Sagan.

As long as you don't infringe on their trademarks or copyrights, you should be fine.

Well you could if it's a "fan" site, but you cannot be making any money off the site. Best advice is to stay from the subject of the trademark (or it's competition) and you'll be fine.

According to your description I think you're fine. Even if at some point you discuss the Aliens movie. That's my opinion.

You should be ok... unless you break copyright laws... and your site will end up like the ones in this recent article by PCmag Government Seizes Domains
