.tv .tv second after .com at GoDaddy

Just read on Allthings.tv that Godaddy has .tv as second in their 'domain name search bar' on their homepage, right after .com.

As companies like Godaddy (the world's largest registrar) make these marketing decisions very carefully, I think this is a major break through and more important then it looks at first sight!

Too late, .tv is my internet strategy, even way before Godaddy decided to give .tv a marketing boost :)

Thanks slim, at the auction I only bought three names and have them together with fellow NPer stoneroses for our .tv cooperation.

Had only one sale in my own .tv portfolio so far, thanks for asking.

.tv is just starting to heat up and think it's too early to start selling, in a few years when you will check your email and browse internet while watching TV, that's a pretty good time to start thinking about selling.

All in my opinion of course :)

John - I noticed it yesterday. I think that their agressive pricing (over the last 2 weeks and down to where it is now at $14.99) and second to .com is VERY significant.

Yes, indeed, totally agree with you. Lot's of people reg names at Godaddy and the fact that .tv is second behind .com in combination with a discounted price of $14.99 will have a significant influence imo.

Even in your control panel, when you search by TLD, it is .Com then .TV now.

Absoloutely,

Just got up and read about this , with their recent promotion of .TV pricing and now this , i see this as a significant signal of their intent for the Future of .TV.
As you you said, they do not make these decisions lightly.

Also , how long until we see Sedo finally allowing .tv auction names onto their home page ?.
They can't have failed to notice the recent buzz and sale prices for .tv, i know at the moment Sedo just don't get it, but sooner or later they are going to have to realise they are cutting off their nose to spite their face.
