Good offer, especially if you need the TV.com backup on that all-important .TV name.

Only works for one name and for one year registration.

This sounds very much like an act of spite on Bob Parson's part. It sounds like he's trying to muddy the waters and create confusion in the marketplace about the Internet and .TV domains. It comes hot on the heels of Parson's spat with VeriSign (and his infamous video).

What I've never been able to understand is why people in this forum hedge their bets with TV.com and .TV. To me that is just sending out a confusing message to newcomers to this forum. On one hand we are trying to get them to believe in dot TV, but on the other hand we're saying "hey, guys, it might end up going this way". Really, is that what we want?

If we really believe in .TV, then we should give it our absolute support. I read all these posts from people saying how wonderful .TV is and how it's going to kick arse, then I see the same people chasing xxxTV.com domains and promoting them in this forum. That doesn't make sense.

The jury is still out on .TV. Maybe it will be a winner, maybe it won't. It's an enormously powerful extension and no matter how many setbacks it suffers it still looms as a potential megastar, and lately it's been making a big impact in sales reported by DNJournal. Now should be the time to get behind the extension and give it 100%.

You know, every time someone in this forum mentions xxxxTV.com, it makes it that much harder for others to sell a .TV name. I mean, is this a .TV forum or is it a TV.com forum?

It's not for .tv
The coupon is for .com (and I think .net, .org and .biz too)

Jimbo was suggesting registering ~tv.com domains with it to compliment your .tv domains
