For those wishing to reg TV.com names the easiest way - at the moment - to get a price of $6.99 on a .com registration is simply to go to google and type in "godaddy voucher".

Almost always an ad will appear over the results from godaddy.

Click the ad and it will take you to godaddy where you will notice that it has a special price of $6.99 plus ICANN fee.

Easy-peasy!

I went and opened a namecheap account. $17.99

I took hotel.TV in a foreign language.
(The foreign language is my native tongue, so I know that I took hotel.TV and not temporaryroomrental.TV )

With my luck I will soon hear what I did wrong and that I overpaid by over $10...

I think this is for .COM registrations. Not sure why it's posted here.

I get it now. He doesn't mean .tv names. He means for example blahtv.com or babatv.com. Names with tv in them not for the .tv extension. Just read his post carefully and you will get it.
