True Love

How many people really believe you can REALLY fall in love with someone before being at least 18-19 and actually know what it means? I mean really knowing the difference between lust and love.

Just got in a fight with my 16 year old cousin who thinks he is in love, and to me its obvious he isnt haha so I would like to see everyones view on this. I myself thought I was in love with my first long relationship gf til like 5 gf's later I looked back and realized I wasnt in love with any of them, it was all lust. Any thoughts?

I think your 16 year old cousin needs to discover this for himself, if you try to interfere he might see you messing things up and blame you. It best to let it takes it natural course and see how it progresses.

Having said that, I believe it is possible that it could be true love and even if it isn't its possible that it could become that.

I agree with you on this JayJay. Everybody in my school, has boyfriends, girlfriends. Then next week you see them break up or something. haha. For me, to have a relationship, is to be with somebody that I like being around, somebody that I know good, etc... People just go in a relationship because they "like" this person, usually for looks or something, or just so they have a girlfriend, boyfriend, (usually happens in my school //2), People and kids don't really know what the word loves mean really, or the definition of it. (I think so) For me, it's something different then what other people say. Theirs a lot of people in my school especially that I know, that they say they love their girlfriend or boyfriend, but they have just been together for like 2 weeks. It's really a learning process, and something that kid's and everybody else will learn in life. blah blah blah, but this is why I probably have only had one girlfriend. //2 I'm not into the relationship thing. I'm not saying I know everything on love or relationships, but this is from experience from watching others, my friends, etc... Let your cousin figure out for himself what love really is. But I do believe, that at a young age, kids or adults can find true love, it's rare but shit happens. But hey I don't know much, I'm the same age as your cousin.

The "35+ year old" group does better than the "less than 20 years of age" group.

I was surprised about those numbers myself. I married at 23 years of age and it ended in divorce, so these numbers are true for me as well.

I'm not sure what you mean by, "What are you trying to point Jay Jay is right." Do you mean me? I'm not trying to point Jay to anything. My marriage failed. I have no advice to give on something I couldn't handle myself. Since my ex-wife and I are really good friends now, I think marriage isn't necessarily a good choice for all couples. I definitely didn't mean to imply that his cousin should get married at such a young age. Marriage is for the mature of mind, not body.

I think only few people are in-love in that age. They aren't still matured enough though. You may also call it some kind of "puppy love".

Yah I got your point but how can you assure that you found your true love already?
