Hi,

I recently snap a domain from SnapName and I wanted to transfer the domain to my Namecheap account however im getting a message "xxxx.com cannot be transferred. This domain is not yet 60 days old." so im guess I have to wait 60 days... I then tried transferring it to GoDaddy and I did not receive the message (I was already at their checkout).

So im wondering if they have different policy on transferring new domains or Godaddy just want me to pay for the transfer first then give me the "xxxx.com cannot be transferred. This domain is not yet 60 days old." message and let me wait 60days so they can transfer the domain.

I want the domain in Namecheap but if I dont have to wait 60days in GD then that's fine, that's why im asking.

It doesn't matter where do you want to transfer it, you can't do it in less than 60 days. Only think you can do is an internal push to another account (if free push is provided by the registrar).

As for Godaddy, probably they will take your money, the transfer will fail, and then they will credit back your account.

Thanks for the reply.

That's what I needed to know, I guess Namecheap gives a warning in advance before you pay for the transfer and GD dont.
