I have a domain I purchased over a year ago, pushed it into my account at GD. When I transferred it I put it under privacy, which showed my company name only so never thought about it after that.

Recently got an offer, accepted the deal and money is in Escrow.

Buyer tried to initiate a transfer but I never did receive a Transfer ID, or Security Code from where he wants it to go. Investigated further and was told to turn off privacy by my register. When doing so it still showed the old owners email and contact info..

Ok thought I found the issue and they advised to just change the administrator email and I'd receive any emails from his provider. Don't change anything else or it would be locked there for 60 days. He says hes sending again and I'm still not getting the emails after changing the administrator email to mine.

Anyone else have this problem, appears I've done all I can do?

It's common issue. Not so big problem.
Once you changed your administrator email id. Ask him to refresh the whois of the domain in transfer section and also ask him which email id showing over there. So you will get an idea where you are doing mistake .usually it works fine but if he's just keep sending email with out getting new info in transfer section. You will never receive the email because the registrar will keep sending email to old id.

I got a little confused because you mentioned PUSH then transfer. Those are technically 2 diff things.

Maybe you can change the info to yours and it is going to lock for 60 days but ask the buyer to create a Godaddy account and PUSH it into his Godaddy account. I believe the 60 day lock is only for transfers (out of the registrar). A push to his new GD account (if they agree to make one) should work. Just make sure you verify this first with GD.

You are right omar. No issue if the domain is lock for 60 days. He still can push domain to another GD account. The lock is only for transfer out. Doing this all the time.
