Transfer out requires payment ?!

I'm trying to transfer out my domains from easyspace, but they ask for "administration fee of £49+vat".

I haven't heard of this kind of service anywhere on the internet. How can I jump this hurdle?

So if Easyspace will reject the transfer 10 times and up, I'm guessing I should start to moving out before the renewal approaches.

it will be a pain in the arse but I just can't let expire that domain because even with a backorder, the only other option that comes to my mind, but I cannot take the risk

If only there was a way to put a No Entrance sign near their site w/o doing SEO for them...

Come to think of it Miserable Failure wasn't a bad idea at all!!

However, don't try it at home, it will give'em some good PR.

We have a number of domains at easyspace and have been hit with the same £50 transfer out issue.

There is a fairly long thread at WHT about easyspace that doesn't show them in very good light: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=347347 . If you go to the last page, a chap describes a way that he claims he used to transfer out for free. I haven't tried this yet.

I once registered a domain with easyspace in 2001 but I never used you know why ... After registering they sent me the email that ..

To change the Nameserver I have to pay $XX
To show my email in whois : I have to pay $XX
To transfer my domain I have to pay $XX
To redirect a domain I have to pay $XX

I though If I would try to use that domain .. I will have to pay nearly $100 more to easy space .. I emailed easy space to keep my domain and give me refund but they did not .. so again emailed them to keep my domain and what ever I have paid you ...

From that I time I never recommend easyspace and even never visit their site .. he are cheater, fraud in the market to keep the good domains of others.
