Transfer of domain

Hi,

I have sold a domain via SEDO but am having problems getting it transferred over. Do I need, among other things, to unpark the domain from SEDO back to my registrar ?

The parking has nothing to do with the transfer. You don't have to change DNS for a transfer.

Thanks so far.....

I have supplied the correct auth code and my registrar, heart internet, says that it is unlocked. However, SEDO cannot see the transfer happening....see their last message to me below....

The buyer\'s registrar sent a response to his query, stating the domain may be in a 60 day lock if there have been certain changes.

Could you please check to confirm there have been no changes to the domain to cause a lock. Also, that the domain has not been recently transferred to this registrar.

There is no 60 day lock on the domain...I bought it 3 months ago. Heart can't seem to tell me any more other than the domain is ready to be transferred....

Have you changed any of the Registrant Info in the last 60 days? That will start another 60 day lock. You will need to call GoDaddy to release that lock before the transfer will succeed.

This acts as a bitch with Godaddy....another hindrance is that if a domain name is nearing expiry within 30 days..& if any registrant info is changed, then the domain name cannot be transferred away unless it is explicitly renewed with GoDaddy themselves.
